Humble Yourself, Obey God & Step Out on Faith (10.26.16)

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death — even death on a cross! Therefore GOD exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name. - Philippians 2:8-9

Faith Believers,
The reason Jesus came into the world was to die on the cross for the sins of humanity. But it was far from easy: on His last night on earth, Jesus cried out to GOD three times, asking The Father for another way.  However, GOD didn’t provide one. So, Jesus humbled Himself to GOD’s Will. And His obedience led Him to die one of the worst deaths imaginable.

What is GOD calling you to do that you are finding hard to obey?

Are you sensing, deep within you, that GOD is speaking to you
about something you’re meant to do?

Maybe He’s calling you to take a risk, and you’re having a hard time letting go of your comfort zone. If so, I want to encourage you to - humble yourself, obey, and step out in faith - just like Jesus did.

Your reward will be great, as it was for Jesus.
An obedient lifestyle may not be easy,
but it is possible.

We may not understand how the entire process is going to work out, but we need to trust GOD, because He is worthy of our trust! He is good and His plans for us are good. It just makes sense for us to be obedient to Him and to His call.

Give us the grace
to be obedient
to what You are calling us
to do.

May we have the courage
to step out in faith.

In Jesus’ name,

Change Your Focus, Be Led by His Spirit, Listen, Shut Out the World, Look to the Lord (10.25.16)

My Child,
There is nothing for you to do; but to continue looking to Me and trust in My Word.

You cannot earn or do anything to further your progress, or to elevate your position. I Am in full control. I know what I Am doing. I Am working out all things according to My Plan. Cease from worry and despair; and have faith in Me.

As you look to Me, I will open your mind so that you can further understand My timing. You cannot hurry or bring forth what isn't there yet. You must wait upon Me.

If you have truly aligned yourself with Me, then walk with Me.
Stay in step with Me and quit trying to run ahead.
Continue to trust in Me and be sensitive to My leading.
Do not let your circumstances pull you from My arms.
Do not let the cares of this world limit your time with Me.

Be ever diligent to keep Me first.

Take no thought for tomorrow, but leave all cares and the decisions in My able Hands. I will lead you, I will show you the way to go, and what to do. You cannot accomplish the things of tomorrow or today; nor can you plan for it, because only I know what tomorrow will bring.

You must fully be reliant upon Me.
Do not think you can walk separate from Me,
and also be a part of Me.

We are united by your faith in Me.

Allow My Peace to guide you.
Listen to Me, and do not let the voices
of this world drown out My Voice.
Take authority over them, and bring them
into subjection to the Holy Spirit.

It is time to shut out the world and listen to Me,
for I have much to show and tell you.

Do not be overcome by circumstances and emotions, but be led by My Spirit. Take time to listen to that still small voice. You will not fail if you obey, nor will you miss My Calling if you listen.

It is time to change your focus, and let My Peace flood your heart and soul. Bring all your cares to Me, and leave them here.  I
have made provisions for you and I Am moving on your behalf right now as I speak to you.

My child, I am in control.
Remember My Word to you,
and choose to believe it is true.

For your faith will give Me the room to move.

So, remember, there’s nothing for you to do,
but look to Me for the help you need.

The Mountain Top is Glorious, but is in the Valley that I Grow!! (10.24.16)

I sent this out a longtime ago, but right now, I feel in my spirit that someone needs to hear this message. - MC

Faith Believers,
We need to learn to thank the Lord for closed doors, in the same way that we thank Him for open doors.

The reason GOD closes doors is because He has not prepared anything over there for us. If He didn't close the wrong door, then we would never find our way to the right door. Even when we don't realize it, God directs our paths through the closing and opening of doors.

When one door closes, it forces us to change our course.
Another door closes, it forces us to change our course yet again.
Then finally, we find the open door and walk right into our blessing.

But instead of praising GOD for the closed door (which kept us out of trouble), we get upset because too often we tend to judge by the appearance of things; and in our own arrogance or ignorance we insist that we know what is right.

Faith Believers, we have a very present help in the time of need, who is always standing guard. Because He walks ahead of us, He can see trouble down the road and He sets up roadblocks and detours accordingly.

But through our lack of wisdom we try to tear down the roadblocks or push aside the detour signs. Then the minute we get into trouble, we start crying "Lord how could this happen to me?" We have to realize that the closed door was a blessing. Didn't He say "No good thing will He withhold from them that love him?"

If you get terminated from your job - don't be down, instead thank GOD for the new opportunities that will manifest themselves.  It might be a better job, or an opportunity to go to school.

If that man or woman won't return your call it might not be them, it might be the Lord setting up a roadblock (so just let it go).

I'm so grateful for the many times GOD has closed doors for me, just to open them in the most unexpected places. "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way." - Psalm 37:23.

The Mountain top is glorious, but it is in the Valley that I will grow!

Remember GOD is a master planner and He is too wise to make a mistake. Praise GOD for that closed door because He has something better for you.

Let Go of Everything Weighing So Heavily On Your Mind. Love God More than You Worry..... (10.23.16)

My Child,
Lift up your eyes, My beloved, lift up your eyes!

You have been looking down for too long; preoccupied with the troubles in your life. Now, your soul has quietly accepted that this is the way it’s going to be, and you’ve given up on the promises I have spoken over your life.

You’ve allowed your soul to become oppressed and entangled in the enemy’s traps, while you continue to fight this battle in your own strength.

But right now, I tell you My child, to lift up your eyes and know where your help comes from. Let go of everything that is weighing so heavily on your mind.  Release it! Let it go. Focus on me. Yes, hunger and thirst for My presence.  If you love Me as much as you worry about what is going on in your life, there would be so much joy and peace in your heart.   Oh, that you would only love Me more than you worry.

Don't focus on your problems but give them to Me.
Lift them up to Me, place them at My throne
and walk away.

Yes, lift up your eyes right now and give Me praise for what I Am going to do in your life. I Am The King of Glory, Your Deliverer, and I want you to praise Me this day, so lift your eyes towards the hills.

If you will just allow Me to come into your life
and give you peace at this moment, I will.

Nothing, nobody, can comfort you the way that I can.

I Am your bright and shining morning star, I Am Alpha and Omega, My Son is the Prince of Peace; and We hold in Our Hands all power!!! So tell me My child what situation are you facing that I cannot fix? What problem has the enemy placed in front of you - that you and I have to accept?

Remember I Am GOD all by myself and there is no other. I do not share power with the enemy. I can and will undo everything the enemy has done in your life.

Trust Me, stay focused on Me, know I that I love you
and will be with you always.

Read and Meditate on His Word
Isaiah 61:3 - To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Psalm 24:7 - Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Psalm 121:1-2 - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

Psalm 123:1 - Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

Showing God's Undiscriminating Love for Both Friends and Enemies (10.21.16)

Faith Believers,
Jesus explained to His followers that they should adhere to the real meaning of GOD's law by loving their enemies as well as their neighbors.

A Pharisee once asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbor?" (Luke 10:29). Jesus then told the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Here Jesus taught that His followers must demonstrate love to all kinds of people - no matter what faith, nationality, or personality your enemies are included. If you love your enemies and "pray for those who persecute you," by those actions, you truly reveal that Jesus is Lord of your life.

By using an illustration of the sun rising and the rain falling on both the good and the evil, Jesus shows GOD's undiscriminating love to all people. His disciples then must reflect His character and exhibit this same undiscriminating love for both friends and enemies.

Jesus is teaching us that we must live by a higher standard than what the world expects - a standard that is impossible for us to attain by our own efforts.

It's only through the power of GOD's Spirit that His people can truly love and pray for those who intend to do them harm (Romans 12:14-21).

In the Difficult Times, God is Growing Your Faith. Be Still, Remain Steadfast, Quiet Your Spirit & Be Confident in Our God. (10.20.16)

My Child,
Do not overreact to the circumstances around you,
and do not allow your emotions to take control.

Remain steadfast and unmovable when you’re faced with a difficult situation. Take the time to quiet your spirit, ask for wisdom and listen for My directions.

Spend whatever time needed to bring your emotions under control.
Align your thoughts with the word of truth, refocus, and proclaim,
“Nothing is too hard for My GOD!!”

Life at times can become a maze of confusion to divert you away from your dreams. During those times, be still before Me and come into My Presence for a time of refreshing.

Recognize that through this difficult time, I Am growing your faith.
Do not become stressed out and please do not panic.
Be patient, stay calm, and work through your dilemma with confidence;
knowing that nothing is too difficult for Me.

What I’ve done for others, surely I will do for you.
I will give you wisdom and direction for the next step....
And I will show you the way.

Read and Meditate on His Word
Jeremiah 32:27 - I am the LORD, the GOD of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?

Acts 3:19 - Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:58 - Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

You are Ordained to be Blessed. Arise and Prepare to Move Forward. (10.19.16)

It is time to arise and move forward, My Child.

It is time to leave the past behind once and for all,
prepare to move forward and rebuild.

You are now entering a season of rebuilding that which has become desolate.

But first, you will have to rise from the ash heaps of discouragement, self-pity, and disappointment.  For this mindset has been hindering you from moving forward for too long.  The mistakes of the past have blinded your spiritual eyes, causing you to overlook the great opportunities and possibilities for your future.

However, you must keep the faith and keep moving forward regardless.

I know the enemy has been trying to wear you down, and making you feel stressed about things beyond your control. However, things are not beyond My Control.  So, be encouraged for the enemy cannot stop My Hand, and your healing and deliverance will come forth.

But, you must first let go of the past and everything that’s reminding you of your pain and failures.

Don’t you know the way has been prepared for you to move forward?  Therefore, refuse to allow minor disappointments to crush your spirit or keep you from preparing yourself from moving forward.

My Child, there is nothing you can do about the things that devastated you, except give them to Me and allow Me to wipe the tears away and bring healing to your soul. So, I say to you, ARISE!

Look up and set your sights on what is ahead once again.
Look up in faith and see the blessing that I have in store for you.
Trust that I have your welfare in My Hands,
and that you are ordained to be blessed.
You are blessed!

Oh, arise and shake off the dust of past failures.
Let go of the past and expect Me to bring blessings and peace to you.
It’s time to look unto the hills.
All the help you need is waiting for you.

Arise, I say and prepare to move forward.

Read and Meditate on His Word
Deuteronomy 2:2-3-  And the LORD spake unto me, saying, Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.
Isaiah 52:2 - Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

Isaiah 60:1 - Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

Psalm 121:1-2 - I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Philippians 3:13-14 - Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of GOD in Christ Jesus.

A Faith and Trust Prayer (10.18.16)

Thank you that you are with me.
Help me to trust and depend on You today.

It’s easy to lean on my own understanding.
Help me to sense Your presence within me.
Give me a stronger desire to read the Bible
and to understand what You are saying to me.

Show me what I need to cleanse from my heart and life today.
I ask Your forgiveness for my sins.

Give me a greater desire to take quiet moments
to be aware of You during my day.

Help me choose to interact with other believers
and to keep Your Word central in my life, always.

Expand my faith as I trust You to BLESS me
as I arise for another day.

In Jesus’ name I pray,

Even when You Cannot Sense Him, Even when You are Not at Your Spiritual Best - God is with You Always (10.17.16)

My Child,
Please don’t be discouraged in times when it feels like I Am very far away.

I want you to know that I Am with you always,
even when you cannot sense My nearness.
I will never abandon you.

I Am with you even when you don’t feel that you are at your best spiritually. I want you to know that you are just as loved when you feel distant from Me, as you are when We are in the deepest of fellowship.

No matter what your feelings tell you,
I Am always with you.

I understand at this moment you feel spiritually dry
      and your spirit needs refreshing.
Can you trust in Me to supply this need?
Do you believe that I Am able to bring
a gentle refreshing rain into every dry area of your life?

Yes, I Am going to break through the driest areas in your life and blow My sweet refreshment upon you.

I Am going to wash over you and make My living water come forth from you, once again.

I will shower you with My goodness, saturate you in My presence, and My Spirit will bring revival into your life like never before.

Read and Meditate on His Word
Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 51:12 - Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Psalm 85:6 - Wilt thou
not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be
weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Galatians 6:9 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Ego & the Focus on Self vs Humility (10.16.16)

Faith Believers,
While the word ego does not appear in the Bible, concepts and principles regarding the ego certainly do. The word ego generally refers to an exaggerated sense of self-importance, which usually results is an excessive preoccupation with "self."

But dying to self, the polar opposite of ego, is the biblical model for Christians. The Bible is filled with admonitions against the self because of man's inherent desire to be worshiped. In fact, all the various forms of modern idolatry have self at their very core. The dark forces of this age have convinced many that contentment is achieved only by satisfying the urges of the self. And we can trace this all the way back to the Garden of Eden where Eve became stirred by satan's lie that she could "be like GOD" (Genesis 3:5).

The opposite of ego is humility, and both the Old and New Testaments are laden with references to living humbly.

In the book of Micah we read, "What does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your GOD" (
Micah 6:8). King Solomon declared, "Humility and the fear of the LORD bring wealth and honor and life" (Proverbs 22:4). One verse that epitomizes why we are to be humble is Peter's exhortation in his first epistle: "All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, GOD opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble" (1 Peter 5:5, emphasis added).

Indeed, Scripture makes it clear that GOD hates pride and arrogance (Proverbs 8:13). In fact, it was pride that turned lucifer into satan. Isaiah 14:13-14 describes satan's astounding focus on self: "I will ascend…I will raise…I will sit… I will ascend…I will make myself like the Most High." This is a perfect example of pride going before destruction (Proverbs 16:18), for in the next verse in Isaiah we see where satan's pride got him: "But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit" (v.15). Christ reiterated the fate of the proud, warning that "whoever exalts himself will be humbled" (Matthew 23:12)

Clearly, an inflated ego and its focus on self are not in keeping with the Christian call for humility. Rather, it is the antithesis of what characterizes true Christians-dependence on GOD and service to others.
