How Do You Handle the Temptation to be Recognized by Man, for What You Do or Say? (3.22.17)

Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of GOD,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your GOD to the test.’” - Matthew 4:5-7

Faith Believers,
It would have been the most sensational day in the history of the Temple. Imagine the reaction of the people, had Jesus floated down into their midst from the highest pinnacle of the Temple. Jesus would immediately have been acclaimed Messiah and there would have been no Cross. Of course, without the Cross, there would have been no salvation or eternal life . . . just an earthly ruler.

How do you handle the temptation to be recognized for what you do or say?

This continues to be a struggle for most people, as well as for those who have given their lives to Jesus. There is always the temptation to draw attention to oneself in order to accomplish something for GOD. Whether it is an important accomplishment at work or school, or simply our own desire to be recognized for doing something in ministry, it seems to be a human tendency to desire the attention of others. Everyone at some point in their life has sought to be approved or confirmed by another human being.

More than any other man, Jesus knew how temporary the acclamation of mankind could be.

What lasts and truly satisfies is doing what the Father has said to do.
And yet, how does one do this consistently,
with purity of heart and humility?

We must realize that all power in Heaven,
and on earth, belongs to the Lord.

The Bible says "Who is man that we should be mindful of him?"

~ Prayer ~

It is so easy Lord, to fall into the trap
of trying to attract attention,
even when I’m serving You.

Forgive me when I strive for the approval of men
rather than Your approval.

Help me to not use worldly means to accomplish Heavenly goals.
I want all that I do to be in the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Amen

Today is a New Day. A Fresh Start has Begun. Leave Fear, Failure & Disappointment Behind You..... and Begin Again. (3.21.17)

My Children,
I speak to those who have been in the pit so long, that you accept your position as normal living.  It is not normal.  Therefore, stop sinking into the mire of self-pity and condemnation.

Today is a new day.
A fresh start has begun.
Refuse to allow stress to rule your life.
So - leave all fear, failure, and disappointment behind you
and begin again.

Come into My Peace, and rest, knowing that I Will cause you to progress according to My Will as you yield to My Purposes.

Do not rethink what you started.
Do not look back, or wonder, if the timing was right.
Do not look to the right or left to see if anyone else is doing what you’re doing.
And do not worry about your enemies.
Keep your eyes on the path before you.

Look not to your circumstances as any measure of your worth or ability.  Look up and behold My face, for I will draw you up and set your feet in a broad place.

You are precious in My Sight.
Trust Me.
Let Me lead you and remember,
it's never too late to begin again.

Read and Meditate on God's Word
Isaiah 43:18-19 - Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert

Psalm 118:24 - This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Proverbs 4:25-27 - Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.  Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

Psalm 31:8 - And hast
not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.

Remember this, there is nothing you will face today
that the Lord can't see you through

This is A Faith Walk. Just Trust God, Take His Hand, Stop Looking at the Storms & Press On Through. (3.20.17)

My Child,
Please stop looking at the storms in your life, and focusing on how hard the waves are blowing. Do not allow these things to cause you to think that I will not answer on time.

Do not look to the left nor to the right.
Instead, lift your head up and look to Me.
Seek My Face,
   seek only My Face.

Reach out and take My Hand,
   and do not let go.

I will guide you every step of the way. Although, things appear to look dark, and you may feel like you will never make it through the storm. I Am with you.

Press on through, you will make it.
I Am here to help you.
I Will protect you.
You must stand strong and press through the trials of life, because “In this life, you will have trials and tribulations, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the things of this world."

This is a faith walk.
Everything you do must be done by faith, in Me.

If you keep your eyes focused on Me, you will not fail. I know each thing you must  face,  because I have already faced them for you. So, do not be afraid My child, I will not let you be harmed.

I will guide you every step of the way.
My Right Hand will protect you.
Know that I have prepared the way for you.

Just trust Me and press on through.

Read and Meditate on God's Word
Isaiah 43:2 - When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

2 Corinthians 4:16-17 - That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (NLT)

1 Peter 4:12-13 - Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Keep Your Eyes on God, Not the World. Follow His Plan for Your Life & You will Reach Your Destination. (3.19.17)

My Child,
I hear your deepest concerns, as you watch others receive their blessings. Now,
you question and wonder what is wrong with you, and if your promises will ever happen. At times, you are so desperate for a blessing, that you try to make things happen in your own strength. When your attempts fail, you feel forsaken and defeated, and you wonder 'why even try.'

Dear child, the enemy is working overtime trying to undermine your faith.  Hoping that you will walk away from Me, and give up. However, all he can do is try. his weak attempts will fail, but only if you keep your eyes on Me.

Do not worry about what others are doing.
They have their own instructions and
   their own problems.
Remember My Words to you,
and do not allow the voices of the enemy
to draw you away from Me,
and rob you of your peace.

I have not forsaken you, nor have I forgotten
about the Words I spoke over your life.
I will not leave you comfortless.

Do not allow the enemy to taunt you anymore. I Am with you. The Plan that I have created for your life is perfect. It is a straight and narrow Plan. It is a Plan that will lead you to Me.

Now, I have given you specific instructions, follow them,
and you will reach your destination.

Please keep your eyes on Me, and not the world.

Stay in My Word and you will see the glorious things I have created for those who desire more of Me, and not the world.

I Am with you.
I will never leave.
Take your eyes off the lives of others.
Follow My plan for your life,
and you will reach your destination.

Read and Meditate on His Word

Psalm 73:16-17 - So I tried to understand why the wicked prosper. But what a difficult task it is! Then I went into your sanctuary, O God, and I finally understood the destiny of the wicked. (NLT)

1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
