Stored Up Blessings (5.31.20)

My Child,
Oh, your stored up Blessings are on the way to you. 

Yes, the Blessings I’ve Prepared for you are coming upon you. 

Now, tune the eyes of your heart to see them arrive.  Look up to the sky, as Elijah did, and see the cloud forming in the distance. Look up and see how it is forming even now. My Child, look up and let your heart rejoice; for ahead of you lies a Season of Blessings. Have I Not Said it, and will I Not Do it?

My Child, I Have already declared your beginning and ending, so do not allow the past - or anything - to interfere with My Plans for your life. Continue to be patient and surrender all to Me.  Rest in Me. It is the right thing to do.  It is good for you, and for those around you.  Hold fast to the Words I Have Spoken over your life; and do not try to manipulate anything. The words you've spoken and the actions you've taken have been led by Me, in My Ways and in My Wisdom.

It is time for the coming of your Blessings.  

Prepare to receive your stored up Blessings, by rejoicing and praising Me - right now. Begin to look for the manifestation of Special Miracles to occur in your life.

You are set to prosper!! 
Therefore, get your 'praise on. ' 

And get ready to receive your Stored-Up Blessings.

Feed on God's Word (5.30.20)

My Child,
Just as Joshua stood on My Word and trusted in Me completely, so I Am calling you, this day, to stand boldly on My Promises. Joshua knew My Word, and he spoke it day and night. He had such faith in My Words, that he was able to command the sun and the moon to stop, so that they could win the battle. Because of his faith in Me, I Did what man could never comprehend; and I Fought - and won - the battle for Joshua.  

My Child, you desire to see miracles. You desire to receive more.  So stand as Joshua stood, and be grounded in My Word. Get back to feeding on My Word. Oh, Bread of Heaven, Bread of Heaven. Let My Word be your Daily Bread.  And you’ll experience those Living Waters from the promises I Have Spoken.   

My Child, I Have more blessings for you, and I Want to increase your Anointing. 

I Want to increase My Power, in your life.

Therefore, step out boldly.
Seek Me and come to Me in faith,
     expecting to receive.

When you step out on My Word, new doors will open before you like never before. 

You will decrease, and I Will increase.
People will see Me in you.

And with Me abiding in you,
     nothing shall be impossible.

Joshua 10:12-13 - Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So, the sun stood still in the midst of heaven and hasted not to go down about a whole day. 

Joshua 10:14 - And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel. 

John 7:38 - He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

John 15:7 - If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Luke 1:37 - For with GOD nothing shall be impossible.

DECREE YOUR AUTHORITY!!!!! (5.29.20)

My Child,
Behold, I Have given you My Authority to bring release and freedom into your life. You have within you the power of prayer, the power to decree and the power of praise; and it is time for you to utilize them, because there are some intruders in your life that must go.

You have allowed them to stay too long.  And some have created strongholds, hindering you from moving forward. However, nothing is impossible for Me.

My Child, prepare to do battle.
It is time to bind the strongman.

And declare your God-given authority - the Authority I Have given you, and loose yourself from the enemys' grip.

Gird yourself with My Word and pray in My Name; not doubting, and loose yourself from every stronghold erected in your life.

Yes, bind the strongman, and let him know that his time is OVER.  he is defeated. he shall hinder you no more.  STAND STRONG IN MY NAME AND SPEAK WITH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADING YOU, AND WATCH THE ENEMY BACK AWAY. 

Pray on. 
Pray and faint not.
Pray without ceasing.
Then be consistent in praising Me.

Praise Me.
Praise Me more when times are
     especially hard for you to pray.
Yes, praise Me. 

When you begin to say, “Thank you Jesus” over and over - you loose yourself from the enemy’s shackles. Therefore, STAND this day and decree your authority over the enemy. Command the enemy to leave in My Name, and you will be so amazed at what I Will do for you.

Decree God’s Word, and as in Psalm 23:5, the enemy shall witness your success and favor; as the Lord prepares your Table of Blessings in His Face. PRAISE THE LORD!

A New Level of Faith (5.28.20)

My Child,
Many of you have entered into a new realm of faith, in your walk with Me.

The faith that I Have given you is evidence of the new season that you are entering into. It is a season of greater faith, which will rise up within you; for I Am the Author and Finisher of your faith. 

You and I are Writing a new chapter in your life.  

Yes, I Know you have not gone this way before, and I Know that some of this may seem strange to you. However, you have broken through into a new level of faith. This new chapter opens to a new level of faith, that will only increase, because My People shall know the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13)

Do you believe that I Am the Lord GOD Almighty,
     and that I Am able to deliver you?
Do you believe that I Am able to heal you,
     and that I Will provide for you? 
You do believe.  Because I Have given you My Mercy
     and My Grace.

Therefore, I say, stand up and shout.
And as you shout, the walls shall fall
     and the enemy shall be defeated.

There is so much more that I Want to (and that I Plan to) release through you. There is so much that I Want to show you. Get ready, get ready to be blessed.

I Have prepared a huge blessing for you.
It Will come forth at My Appointed Time.

God Loves You (5.27.20)

My Child,
I Want to remind you of the Love I Have in My Heart for you. I Loved you before you came into this world. It was My Love for you that moved Me to send My Son, to lay down His Life, so that you could have eternal life. It is My Love for you that moves Me each day to pour My Blessings upon your life, so that you may have Life more abundantly.
 
It is this same Love for you that causes Me to ask, “Why do you come to Me for help, but then some of you do not believe, in your heart, that I Will answer? Remember, I Told you -  'just because I do not answer on your time, does not mean it is not yours.'"
 
There are times that My Love for you will come with strong and clear directions, to help you understand why My Blessings are delayed; and My Love will also supply the strength you need, to hold on. My Love for you has built-in patience, and I Want your Love for Me to have the same. My Heart is filled with so much Love for you.
 
Just come to Me, and all will be made clear. I Am right here. My love for you will never change, no matter what you do. 

 

This day, enter into My Presence with gladness. 

Embrace My Love, and who I Am. 

I Am your Heavenly Father. 

 

You will never be able to comprehend how much I Love you, so just know that I Love you so much, and Love Me in return.

Do Not Open That Door....... (5.26.20)

Faith Believers,
Someone is trying to enter your life. Someone I don’t want you to ever spend time with. They have been trying to gain access to you for a while now, and they are just about to wear you down. Do not let them in. Do not open that door.  If you do, you may not be able to recover from their visit. Who am I talking about?

I am talking about ‘OLD MAN FAILURE.’

He’s been lurking around now, and he sees that you have been feeling sorry for yourself. He is just waiting for the moment that you will open the door, so he can convince you that you are right. He wants to spend time with you. He wants to take control and remind you of your mistakes, and that there is nothing you can do about it. If you open the door and let him in, he will bring along his friends - disappointment and self-pity. And if you let them in, they will only cause you to sink deeper into the muck and mire of defeat. 

Do not open that door.

The only way to keep them out is to seal your door with The Blood of Christ. Yes, plead The Blood over your life and all that pertains to you. Then, in the Mighty Name of Jesus, plead The Blood against these evil spirits, so that no matter how hard they want to come in, The Blood of Jesus will send them away.

Stop allowing your mind to entertain thoughts of defeat and failure. 

You made mistakes. You stumbled and fell.  All have sinned, and come short, of the Glory of God. The real failure will be in not getting back up and overcoming what you have endured. Do not let ‘old man failure’ to ruin your life. Don’t you know who you are?  Don’t you know Whose you are? You are a Child of the Most High.  You are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

Now, get up from your place of mourning and seal the door. 

Do not open the door.  Just trust God. Trust God, and release this unwanted guest into His Mighty Capable Hands. Receive His Peace, and trust that He Will take care of all that pertains to you. 

Have faith that He Will work things out. Spend time, this day, with those who care about God's Mercy and Grace. For they are the ones who should always be welcome at your house.  And they will help to remind you that God has forgiven you, and that it is time to move on.

It is Time for God's Work - Your Work - To Come Forth..... (5.24.20)

 

My Child,
You cannot remain hidden anymore.

I Have poured much into you, and now it is your time to come forth. the enemy unleashed attack after attack against you, to discourage you and to try to hinder My Work. However, you cannot allow his pitiful stumbling blocks to get in the way of My Work that I Gave you to do. 

I Know that at first you didn’t recognize what he was doing; nevertheless, when you persevered in prayer and surrendered all to Me, you gave Me the chance to expose his work. Now, you see what he’s doing; and I Want you to know, this is not the end of you.

It is your time.
It is your season.

I Know that this season has been hard for you, and at times, some of you may have felt like I Turned away from you. My Child, I’ve Heard every prayer you prayed, and I’ve Seen every tear you cried. 

Through it all, I Never left you.

If I Had left your side you wouldn’t have been able to cry out, “Hallelujah anyhow," or "Hallelujah, Jesus.” You could praise Me because I Was with you.  I Never left you. I Was ministering to your Spirit.  Whispering My Words of encouragement, to let you know that I Heard every word you said.

You are not defeated.
It will be as I Promised.
It will be according to My Will.

You shall come forth.

And My Words shall come forth, through you, and together - you with My Words - will bless many.  Worry no more about what it looks like. My Words will do the work. You must be ready to go forth. No, it is not too late for your dreams to come to pass. Time and age mean nothing to Me, for I Am in control of everything.

Fret no more, My Child.

All is well.

Let My Word flow through you, and come forth.  It will be greater than you can imagine.  It is time now for My Work to come forth.

You Are NEVER Alone (5.23.20)

My Child,
What is this that I See?
 
Some of you are feeling isolated and alone; with no one to care or share your heart with.  No one to understand. This yet another ploy of the enemy to plunge you into loneliness and depression. he wants to try to immobilize you, by bringing you to a place of hopelessness. However, I Want you to remember what I Said, “I will never leave you comfortless.  I will come to you.”

Precious One, come to Me, for I Have not forsaken you, nor have I Pushed you away.  I Have a plan and purpose for you; and I Will comfort your heart and establish you in every good word and good work. 

Therefore, do not hide in the shadows
     of self-doubt. 
Come into My Marvelous Light.
Rise up and shake off this spirit of
     despair and rejection. 
You are not alone, I Am with you.

Refuse to be thrust into darkness and despair.

My Goodness and My Merciful Kindness will always comfort you. I Will never let you walk alone.  For I Am your hope and your exceeding great reward.  Come to Me, and I Will turn your sadness into dancing.  I Will strip away that sackcloth of loneliness, and clothe you with My Joy. 

You are My Joy and My Delight. 

Therefore, delight yourself in Me, this day, and know that you are NEVER alone.  No, N-E-V-E-R  alone.  For I Will be with you always.

Let it Happen on God's Time (5.21.20)

My Child,
Why are you trying to force your will, in certain situations, to bring about the change necessary to achieve your desires?  

My Child, please do not be hasty.  

You would do well to trust Me to bring about opportunities for change that will not only benefit you, but also, those around you.  Lean on Me and take it slow.  One step at a time.  To avoid making mistakes that you will regret.  

Let things happen on My Time.

You are in need of patience, so that you can evaluate every situation and be sure that your choices are correct before moving forward.  

the enemy wants to fill your mind with deception to derail you, and take you off course. Be strong, be resolute and refuse to allow fear - and the need to do something right now - to take you out of the flow of My Holy Spirit. Regardless of what comes at you, you will never ever face it alone.  I Am always with you, working things out for your good, on My Time.

Do not allow your flesh to take control; for everything done through selfish ambition will result in unrighteousness.  

Take whatever time is necessary to quiet your thoughts and emotions; and then ask for My Wisdom about your next step.  Talk to Me, and allow Me to reveal the flow of My Holy Spirit. I Will show you the way.  I Will give you the ability to achieve a heightened state of awareness that will make things a lot easier, if you yield to My Will.

Precious One, what you seek will happen.

However, let it happen on My Time.
And everything will be perfect.
And you will want for nothing.

Final Exhortations

Take God's Hand...... And HOLD ON!!! (5.19.20)

My Child,
There is nothing too hard for Me.
Listen to My Words, and let them feed you.

There is nothing - nothing too difficult for Me. I Set the sun in the sky each morning. I Breathe life into each new day. How can this be? It all comes from My Hand. Therefore, My Child, whatever you are facing at this time, whatever is in front of you, it is not too much for Me.

I Will open doors, and I Will close them. I Am The One that will change and rearrange. I Am The One that will turn what the enemy meant for bad into good. Do not allow him to cause you to faint at what is in front of you, and do not depend on your own strength to change anything.

Take My Hand and lean on Me.

Keep your face looking towards the hills from whence cometh your help.

Look to Me.
Stand on My Word. 
And allow Me to work things out in your life.

Nothing, nothing can separate us.
Nothing can come between us.
And nothing can harm you.

I Am watching over you.  Know that My Eyes are always open. I Do not slumber, nor do I Sleep. Give Me all your cares, all your worries, and anything that concerns you.

Place all of it in My Capable Hand, and think about them no more. I Am here to release you from all of it. Give all of it over to Me, and walk in My Strength. Take My Hand and hold on. 

And walk into your New Destiny.

Psalm 121:1-2 - I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where shall my help come from? My help comes from Jehovah, who made Heaven and earth. 

Romans 8:38-39 - For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of GOD which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. 

Psalm 37:5 - Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 

God Has Already Given You The Authority..... Use It!!! (5.18.20)

My Child,
I Want you to rise up, and break off the shackles that bind you.

Do not sit there in torment, crying out to Me to help you; for I Have already given you My Authority. Use what I Have given you, it is more than sufficient to give you the Victory. Stop allowing things to happen to you, and use The Authority that I Have given to you, to make changes in your life.

Have I not Said, "No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods unless he first binds the strong man?" You have My Holy Spirit living within you, and I Have given you My Authority over the enemy and infirmities. Don’t you realize you are strong in Me? So, how is it that you have fallen into the role of a helpless victim, and offer no resistance to the enemy? How is it that you allow the enemy of your soul to plunder your goods?

This is not My Will for you.

Don’t you realize that My Will for you is Victory, and not defeat? Have I not Said, in My Word, that I Have given you The Authority to trample on snakes and scorpions; and to overcome all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall harm you?  Since I Have given you My Authority, then wouldn't it make sense that The Authority that I Have placed on you (and in you), is greater than the authority of your adversary? Of course, it is. 

Therefore, rise up and stop listening to his lies.

Do not surrender to him.
Lift up My Name, and cause change to happen
      in your life!  

Choose to believe what I Have told you, instead of believing the lies of the enemy.

Choose to believe My Truth, and choose to use My Authority, which I Have already given you. Do not be complacent when the enemy comes to try to make you feel small and helpless. Rebuke him in My Name, and with My Authority. 

Rise up, right now, in My Authority and command him to leave. Stand on My Word until you have complete victory, for I Have given you My Authority.  Yes, I Have given you My Authority, and I Want you to use it to accomplish My Will.

My Will for you is to defeat the enemy of your soul, so that you can walk in victory, in peace, in prosperity, and the fullness of joy.

Beloved:
Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts.

those who defame your good conduct in Christ
may themselves be put to shame.

For it is better to suffer for doing good,

Walk in the Authority of God's Word..... (5.16.20)

 

Arise My Children,
     and grab hold of My Promises. 

Rise up, now, in your Spiritual Authority.  For there is nothing in this world that will stand against My Word in you.  

You are in this world, but not of this world.  I Have Called you out of the world, to be used by Me, to shine over darkness and to be light-bearers. Let the light of My Word shine through you.  Use My Authority, and operate in My Anointing and My Power.  Let My Words flow out of your mouth.

It is time, now, that you walk in faith, like David, and defeat the giants in your life.  David knew of this Power, My Power, and used it when he stood to face Goliath.  David faced his giant, in faith, and in My Power. 

Today, look at the Goliaths in your life, and face them now.  Not in your strength, but with My Power, the Power that I Have given to you. 

I Have given you Authority and Power over every situation that is not of Me. Therefore, speak to the mountains, in My Name, and they shall be removed.  My Word, My Authority, and faith are all that you need to change your circumstances and your situations.

A Hurt, Healing & Forgiveness Prayer (5.15.20)

Father GOD,

I come to You, in the Name of Your Son, Jesus - right now - asking that You heal my heart; so that I can forgive those who have hurt me. 

 

I ask for forgiveness - right now - in the Mighty Name of Jesus, that You will take the sin of unforgiveness from my heart. 

 

I know I must forgive, so that satan will not have a foothold in my life. I know that the enemy uses family, friends and sometimes even strangers; to say and to do wicked, hurtful, hateful, malicious things. I know that too often, the spirit of satan attempts to take over their minds, hearts and mouths; using them in such a way that divides families.  That, too often, those who are hurt, never forgive those who have hurt them; because the words and deeds were so dark and vicious. 

 

Lord, I do not want to be a person that never forgives the wrong that have been launched against me. 

 

Heal the hearts of those who are hurting, Lord. 

 

Help me to recognize that not everyone knows you as their Father, even though they profess to know You with their mouth. 

 

I do not want to be a part of satans' schemes and wickedness; so therefore, I am asking you to forgive me of my sins.  I am asking you to forgive me for not forgiving those who have hurt me. I want to move forth in Your Glory and Your Wisdom, Father God, leaving behind all of the works of the enemy. 

 

Father, I pray for my enemies, in the name of Jesus, and I leave them before You; as I work to forgive all who have allowed the enemy to use them.  

 

Father, You See and You Hear every word that is spoken and every deed that is not of You. The Word Of GOD, Your Word, says that each of us will stand before You, and give an account for our life's conduct - what we say and do - be it good or bad. 

 

Father GOD, I want my heart to be right before you.   Today, tomorrow and on my final judgement day. 

I want my heart to be right. 
I ask for forgiveness. 
I ask for healing.

I ask for Your Help.  To help me to forgive others.  To help me to move forward.  To help me to move swiftly and effectively into Your Wise Path and Plan for my life; and to defeat - for once and for all, on this day - any influence that the enemy may have in my life.
  

I pray this prayer in the Mighty Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ,

Expect the Unexpected... (5.13.20)

My Child,
Expect the unexpected, for I Will lead you on a path that you have not known, nor could you have imagined. 

Yield to My Holy Spirit, and I Will show you things, and reveal that which has been hidden from your eyes.  So often, too many of you tend to look at the negative things in your lives.  Too many of you start counting your problems, and neglect to be thankful for your blessings. I Want you to learn to look forward to the future, with great expectations.

I Am your very Present Help in times of trouble.  Seek Me for the answers you need to resolve difficult issues.  No matter what your current situation dictates - look forward, and expect Me to answer your prayers; for I Have only good things in store for you.  

Knowing this, why not expect Me to open the way
     and perform miracles in your life?

Stop worrying and start believing! 
Believe - that by My Son's Stripes, you are healed.
Believe - and expect a change in your finances.
Believe - and expect Me to do what you think is
     impossible.  Remember with Me, ALL things
     are possible.

Whatever comes your way - seek My Face, call upon My Name and expect to hear Me Say, “Here I Am.”  My Child, I Say to you - expect it.  Expect to see Me perform miracles in your life.

Now, do not stagger at what I Have promised you; but be strong in faith, and expect things to work out for your good. 

Give Me the Glory and trust Me,
     for I Am for you
     and I Am with you.

It's In Your PRAISE!!!!!! (5.12.20)

Faith Believers,
As I begin my communion with GOD, there was a praise bubbling up in my Spirit. I knelt down to pray, and praise was continuing to birth forth. My 'prayer time' turned into a 'praise session. '

And as I continued my fellowship with the Lord,
      I heard the words, "It's in your praise."
 
Now, this would seem normal if all was going well. However, at the time, there were some things going on in my life that were anything but praiseworthy. There were things going on that should have had me crying my heart out; but praise continued to go forth, and I kept hearing the words, "It's in your praise.... It is in your p-r-a-i-s-e...."
 
I want to share this word with you. No, I need to share this word with you. "It's in your praise!”

Your healing is in your praise.
Your deliverance is in your praise.
Your breakthrough is in your praise.

Do not allow current conditions to keep you from doing the very thing that will move your mountains and lift you above the storm clouds.

Your answer
is in
your praise!
 
GOD desires to be exalted and praised at 'all' times. Continue to lift Jesus up for who He is. Continue to praise Him for His Love, Mercy, and Grace. Keep sounding the alarm, that GOD is good, and worthy to be praised. Then, when the enemy tries to silence your praise, by reminding you of conditions and situations in your life, that may not seem to be ‘PRAISEABLE;’ tell that old enemy that your circumstances are in the Hands of THE ONE WHO can heal you, THE ONE WHO can deliver you, and THE ONE WHO has set you free!

Come on faith family.

Psalm 34:1 - I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 

Psalm 145:1-3 - David's Psalm of praise. I will extol thee, my GOD, O king; and I will bless thy name forever and ever. Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. 

Psalm 146:1-2 - Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. 

Psalm 148:1-5 - Praise ye the LORD. Turn Your Panic into PRAISE (5.11.20)

Beloved,
I Am The Resurrection and The Life. Allow Me to take your broken dreams, and replace them with new dreams.

When you feel discouraged about your dreams, praise Me - praise My Father - because I Am the Hope Giver.  Do not let fear hold you captive. Be strong and courageous. I Will be with you, no matter what you face. I Am holding you in My Strong and Almighty Hands.  My Presence will comfort you; and I Will strengthen and help you, as you face this day.

When you feel sad or depressed - look to Me, as The One who brings beauty out of the ashes.

As you exalt Me, you will find refuge in Me. When you worship Me, even though you are walking through trials, it makes My Heart sing; and I Will pour out a blessing on your life. No matter what difficulties you encounter, My Love and My Faithfulness will always surround you. So, turn your panic into praise, today.

Yes, I Know that at times it may feel like I Am not listening to the desires of your heart. Trust Me, Beloved, I Am listening.  And at the perfect time, I Will give you what you ask.

Therefore, bring Me your praise - even when you don’t feel like it. Praise Me, and as you lift My Precious Name - courage and peace will rise in your heart. The chains of worry and fear will be broken and, by faith, you will see that the plans I Have for your life are far beyond what you can imagine.

Turn your panic into praise.
Then watch and see what I Will do.

Judah and Tamar

38 It came to pass at that time that Judah departed from his brothers, and visited a certain Adullamite whose name was Hirah. ² And Judah saw there a daughter of a certain Canaanite whose name was Shua, and he married her and went in to her. ³ So she conceived and bore a son, and he called his name Er. ⁴ She conceived again and bore a son, and she called his name Onan. ⁵ And she conceived yet again and bore a son, and called his name Shelah. He was at Chezib when she bore him.

⁶ Then Judah took a wife for Er his firstborn, and her name was Tamar. ⁷ But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord killed him. ⁸ And Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother’s wife and marry her, and raise up an heir to your brother.” ⁹ But Onan knew that the heir would not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in to his brother’s wife, that he emitted on the ground, lest he should give an heir to his brother. ¹⁰ And the thing which he did displeased the Lord; therefore He killed him also.

¹¹ Then Judah said to Tamar his daughter-in-law, “Remain a widow in your father’s house till my son Shelah is grown.” For he said, “Lest he also die like his brothers.” And Tamar went and dwelt in her father’s house.

¹² Now in the process of time the daughter of Shua, Judah’s wife, died; and Judah was comforted, and went up to his sheepshearers at Timnah, he and his friend Hirah the Adullamite. ¹³ And it was told Tamar, saying, “Look, your father-in-law is going up to Timnah to shear his sheep.” ¹⁴ So she took off her widow’s garments, covered herself with a veil and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place which was on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given to him as a wife. ¹⁵ When Judah saw her, he thought she was a harlot, because she had covered her face. ¹⁶ Then he turned to her by the way, and said, “Please let me come in to you”; for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law.

So she said, “What will you give me, that you may come in to me?”
¹⁷ And he said, “I will send a young goat from the flock.”
So she said, “Will you give me a pledge till you send it?”
¹⁸ Then he said, “What pledge shall I give you?”

So she said, “Your signet and cord, and your staff that is in your hand.” Then he gave them to her, and went in to her, and she conceived by him. ¹⁹ So she arose and went away, and laid aside her veil and put on the garments of her widowhood.

²⁰ And Judah sent the young goat by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman’s hand, but he did not find her. ²¹ Then he asked the men of that place, saying, “Where is the harlot who was openly by the roadside?”

And they said, “There was no harlot in this place.”
²² So he returned to Judah and said, “I cannot find her. Also, the men of the place said there was no harlot in this place.”

²³ Then Judah said, “Let her take them for herself, lest we be shamed; for I sent this young goat and you have not found her.”

²⁴ And it came to pass, about three months after, that Judah was told, saying, “Tamar your daughter-in-law has played the harlot; furthermore she is with child by harlotry.”
So Judah said, “Bring her out and let her be burned!”

²⁵ When she was brought out, she sent to her father-in-law, saying, “By the man to whom these belong, I am with child.” And she said, “Please determine whose these are—the signet and cord, and staff.”

²⁶ So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I, because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again.

²⁷ Now it came to pass, at the time for giving birth, that behold, twins were in her womb. ²⁸ And so it was, when she was giving birth, that the one put out his hand; and the midwife took a scarlet thread and bound it on his hand, saying, “This one came out first.” ²⁹ Then it happened, as he drew back his hand, that his brother came out unexpectedly; and she said, “How did you break through? This breach be upon you!” Therefore his name was called Perez. ³⁰ Afterward his brother came out who had the scarlet thread on his hand. And his name was called Zerah.
