“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be opened in order that you may know … His incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion and every title that can be given…” EPHESIANS 1:18-23

GOD’s power! What does that mean on a weekday morning as you head out the door? When GOD exerted His mighty strength, Jesus took that historic step out of the grave! He took His position above all authority in the spiritual realm. As believers in Jesus, the presence of His Spirit in our lives allows us to, amazingly, participate in that power! …you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses… - Acts 1:6-8. GOD’s Spirit in us gives us the opportunity to display His power through us. If love feels frayed, call on the power of His love to re-ignite your heart. If peace has fled, ask His Spirit to bring His calm and joy as you put each concern into His hands. If impatience rules, ask for GOD’s power to be exerted in your heart to give you a greater measure of kindness and gentleness. Ask for His power to give you self control and a deeper faith. Our spiritual eyes can be opened so we can actively see where we need GOD’s mighty power in us. His resurrection power can work through us as we invite His Spirit to fill us and change us. God’s transforming power can re-order your life for His glory. This is the witness that others will see as GOD breaks through the darkness to intervene and move what is needed. It happens as we invite Him...because the power belongs to Him! ~ Prayer ~ Dear Father in Heaven, Thank you that all power in Heaven and Earth belongs to you. We often feel powerless in our lives as we look around our world. Increase our faith to ask you to intervene with your power,      to transform situations and lives; so that your glory and      your love is broadcast to those around us. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen Is there a place in your life that needs transforming and re-aligning with GOD’s mighty power? Ask GOD right now to come into that area of your life with His strength. Ask Him to open your eyes to see Him at work in you and through you.
