Favor in the Fire (8.31.18)

My Child,
Please do not mistake My Fire for My Displeasure,
because they are not the same thing.

There are times you will go through My Refiner's Fire to remove impurities and anything that would hold you back from being closer to Me. I Am your heavenly Father, and as a good Father, I Will address the areas that hinder your walk with Me. I Will remove the chaff that prevents you from receiving and moving into the fullness of what I have for you.  And I Will purge you of your old nature, so that My New Nature will consume you.

You must die to the old nature, so that My New Nature may consume you. And the process of dying to the flesh is never easy, and it must be forged in My Refiner's Fire.  You are not in the fire because I Am angry with you. This Fire was sent so that I might perfect you and form you into the image of My Son in your life, and I often allow adversity and hardship during this transformation process.

This fire is not to punish you and
it is not to destroy you.
It is to perfect you for My Glory.

My child, please stop thinking I’m angry with you. Let Me ask you, do you think I was angry with Joseph when I allowed him to be sold into slavery and cast unfairly into prison? I loved Joseph and had great plans for him. I permitted that fire so that I could smooth out the rough edges and prepare him for the destiny I chose for him. I was with him during the hardship and caused him to prosper in whatever he put his hands to do.

My Favor was upon his life; however, I still permitted him to go through My Refiner's Fire to prepare him for the task that lay ahead of him.

This is what you are going through right now.  I’m using the fire of adversity to prepare you; to form you into the Perfect Vessel for My Service. Please do not worry, I won’t leave you in the fire longer than necessary. My Favor was upon Joseph and My Favor is also upon you.

Therefore, allow Me to work My Refinement in your life, so you will be prepared for the Great Work that is coming. While I’m doing this Work, please be patient and allow Me to form you into the Perfect Vessel for My Service.

So, do not allow this fire to worry you any longer; it is not a sign that I Am displeased with you. Rather, it is a sign that I have a call and a destiny for your life, and that I Am actively preparing you for it.

Be encouraged this day,
for My Favor is upon your life.

Never forget how much I love you,
and that I Am with you in all things.

I Will not abandon you in the midst of the fire.

READ AND MEDITATE ON HIS WORD:
Deuteronomy 31:8 - And the LORD,
he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Daniel 3:24-26 - Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counselors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of GOD. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high GOD, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.
Malachi 3:3 - And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

Ephesians 4:23-24 - And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after GOD is created in righteousness and true holiness.

James 1:2-4 - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

#ScriptureReflection - 1 Corinthians 1:17-25 (8.30.18)

Brothers and sisters:
Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the Gospel,
and not with the wisdom of human eloquence,
so that the cross of Christ might not be emptied of its meaning.

The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
For it is written:

I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the learning of the learned I will set aside.

Where is the wise one?
Where is the scribe?
Where is the debater of this age?
Has not God made the wisdom of the world foolish?
For since in the wisdom of God
the world did not come to know God through wisdom,
it was the will of God through the foolishness of the proclamation
to save those who have faith.
For Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom,
but we proclaim Christ crucified,
a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,
but to those who are called, Jews and Greeks alike,
Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom,
and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

Study the Word & Learn how to Pray God's Heart (8.29.18)

And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father - John 14:13

Faith Believers,
Learn how to pray GOD’s heart.

Praying just for the sake of making a religious noise, is not GOD’s intent for prayer. Praying to get something from GOD is also not GOD’s plan.

Studying the Word and paying attention
to the world around you is key.
See what GOD is busy doing and what
He desires us to do as His people.

As we pray those things that are close to His heart, He is pleased to answer! We know He wants us to love Him with all of our hearts, and to love others as we love ourselves. He wants us to pray for the lost. We know that He wants unity in the body of Christ…and you and your family can probably add many others things to this list.

Humbly expect and be willing for GOD to use you to be the answer to your prayers.  If your heart never expects GOD to answer, there is literally no point in praying.

James states, But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not think he will receive anything from the Lord… - James 1:6-7.

When you pray in the Name of Jesus, believing that He has heard and will answer, you will see Him do amazing things - sometimes in and through you! Always remember that the ultimate goal of answered prayer is to bring glory to the Lord.  And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father - John 14:13.
  -  Marilyn

~ Prayer ~
Lord Jesus,
Prayer is sometimes a complete mystery to me.

I am awed by Your power, that You so freely give to Your people.

Give me a heart that will believe and not doubt…and help me to live in Your perfect presence, expecting You to move in, through and around my life continually, Father GOD.

In the name of Your son Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Amen

It's Your Time to Step Out, Keep Your Spiritual Shoes On..... (8.28.18)

My Child,
This is a new beginning,
a new season in your life.

All the old things have passed away.
I have closed many doors, and
for some, this has been a hard time.

A lot of doors should have closed a long time ago, but for some strange reason, you kept them open. So yes, I closed them for you. Do not worry about the closed doors; for there will be much activity in the days ahead for you.

So keep your spiritual shoes on.

The journey will be tough, but one well worth it.
There will be many obstacles along the way.

There will be many who will try to persuade you to go in one direction, and then in another direction. Be aware, be careful, listen for My Still Small Voice; but most of all stay prayerful and seek My Face in all things.

Do not move until you know you have heard from Me.

I say to you again - during the days ahead, you must take the time to listen to My Still Small Voice guiding you, and then step out in faith. I have already gone before you, and I know what lies ahead.

I Will always be with you.

Your victory is at hand.
Your breakthrough is waiting.
Keep your eyes on Me and
     keep pressing your way.

Be ready to move as I lead.
Just keep moving forward.

Do not look back at the way things used to be, and do not try to imitate anything you have done in the past. You have not gone this way before. I do not want you bringing your past with you on this journey.

All things have been made new.

At times, you will feel out of place, but know that I Am with you. I have made the crooked paths straight, and I will keep you from stumbling.

I will light your way.

Keep your spiritual eyes open.
Keep your spiritual ears tuned to My Voice
and your heart ready to receive.
Stay prayerful, oh so prayerful, and listen
     to My Voice.

These are the keys to transition you into your destiny. Step out and step into the prosperity that lies ahead.

It is your time.
You have been waiting for this.
Stand on My word.
Be ready.
Keep your spirit

Allow these words to penetrate into your very souls, for they are life and will lead you to your next destination.

It is your time to step out.

READ AND MEDITATE ON HIS WORD
Psalm 1:3 - And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalm 102:13 - Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to
favor her, yea, the set time, is come.

Proverbs 4:25-27 - Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

Isaiah 48:3 - I have declared the former things from the beginning, and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.

Ezekiel 12:25 - For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Spending Quiet Time with the Lord (8.27.18)

Faith Believers,
It is important to spend time being quiet before the Lord.

If we are doing all of the talking, we won’t be able to hear Him speak. Be still, and know that I am GOD; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth - Psalm 46:10

I wonder how many instructions and promptings we miss because we don’t take the time to learn to distinguish the voice of the Shepherd! My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me - John 10:27.

When you sense that you have a Word from the Lord and it agrees with the Bible, act upon it.

GOD is not going to give us more than we can handle, and He will likely start us out slowly. As you are faithful in the small things, He will trust you with bigger issues.

Maybe He will impress upon your heart to write a note to someone, or to make an encouraging phone call.

Obey the Father when He speaks to you.
Act when that small still voice tell you to.
Remember GOD will not proclaim His presence
through a megaphone but through a
     small still voice.
   -  Marilyn

~ Prayer ~
Lord Jesus,
Help me to be a servant that doesn’t need to live my life to be seen by men.

Give me a listening heart to obey even the smallest task You choose to give me. For I know Lord, that You will not give me more than what I can bear.

I want to do Your Will Father, and live my life for You and through You.

Jesus help me to hear You when You speak to me.

I love You and want to do Your Will, Father GOD.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth
I pray this prayer.

Amen

Regaining Your Focus (8.26.18)

Beloved,
When you allow the spirit of discouragement to come in, everything it touches will die.  Any discouragement you feel comes from being stressed over things you can’t control. And, in turn, it can affect your health, finances, relationships and the work you’re doing for the Kingdom.

It’s time for you to regain your focus and
defeat the enemy standing in your way.

Stress comes from you not focusing on Me. When your mind isn’t on Me, you lose focus and find yourself being pulled in many directions.

Refuse to allow discouragement to keep you
from the benefits of Kingdom living.

Do not allow negative thoughts to hinder you from possessing the land that I promised you. Rise up with thanksgiving and trust Me to bring you through.

I want you to regain your focus.

Quiet yourself, meditate on Me and be
renewed in the spirit of your mind.

And then, stand in authority and pull down the stronghold of discouragement, and bring every thought into obedience to My Father's Word. Submit everything to Me and be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Allow Me to renew a "Right Spirit" within you, and discouragement will not have any place in your life.

I love you, and I don’t want the troubles of this world to take you away from Me and the things I have called you to do.

Be encouraged and know that I overcame every trial you will ever face. Know who you are in Me, and be strong in the Lord, and in the power of My Might.
Beloved,  it’s time to clean up your thought process.

It’s time to clean up your spiritual atmosphere and move past being discouraged; for it’s the only way you will gain greater clarity of purpose, and advance in your Kingdom assignment.

Now, rebuke the spirit of discouragement
     and regain your focus.

Do these things and watch how
     the blessings will overtake you.

And remember, if what you’re thinking isn’t
blessing your life, let it go.

READ AND MEDITATE ON HIS WORD
Deuteronomy 1:21- Behold, the LORD thy GOD hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the LORD GOD of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.

Isaiah 26:3 - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of GOD.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 - (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through GOD to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of GOD, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Ephesians 4:23 - And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Ephesians 6:10 - Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

#ScriptureReflection - Galatians 3 (8.25.18)

Faith or Works of the Law

You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh? Have you experienced so much in vain—if it really was in vain? So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” 11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

The Law and the Promise

15 Brothers and sisters, let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case. 16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say “and to seeds,” meaning many people, but “and to your seed,” meaning one person, who is Christ. 17 What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise. 18 For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on the promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

19 Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. 20 A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.

21 Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. 22 But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

Children of God

23 Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Reflecting on John 14:12 (8.24.18)

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father - John 14:12

Faith Believers,
If you are one of the people that Jesus spoke about, "Anyone who has faith in me" then you need to be on the lookout for places where Christ wants (and needs) to work in and through you.

Is there a child who needs to be spiritually formed, a friend who needs encouragement, or a neighbor who needs Christ? If you pray, Christ will work!

Are there spiritual leaders who need to be uplifted, fellow believers who need empowerment, or a church that needs to be revived? If you pray, Christ will work!

Do you know of an anxious person who needs peace, a lonely person who needs befriending, a stranger who needs to be encouraged, or a hungry person who needs to be fed? If you intercede, Christ will work!

He will work in you and through you.

You will do the kinds of things that Christ did.
You will do them in His Power.
You will be co-laboring with GOD.

With this promise, Christ is placing the powers
      of Heaven at your disposal.

What a huge and important responsibility!
What an awesome privilege!
   -  Marilyn

~ Prayer ~
Gracious Holy Spirit,
I repent of my selfishness. A selfishness that keeps me from exercising the gifts You have given to me, for the sake of others.

There are those who could use encouragement and uplifting…and others who are struggling and need to be helped through a difficult time.

Yet, I keep a safe distance – at arm’s length, because I might get sucked in to more than I think I can handle. Some people and much of life are messy and complicated, yet Jesus would step into the midst of the mess and reach out His Hand to heal.

May the heart of Christ be evident in me today as I listen for Your Kingdom instructions. Help me to lean into the mess, unafraid to be the hands and feet of the One who extended His Hand to me!

Amen!

#ScriptureReflection - Luke 11:29-54 (8.23.18)

The Sign of Jonah

29 As the crowds increased, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It asks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah. 30 For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation. 31 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the people of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom; and now something greater than Solomon is here. 32 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and now something greater than Jonah is here.

The Lamp of the Body

33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. 34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. 35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

Woes on the Pharisees and the Experts in the Law

37 When Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and reclined at the table. 38 But the Pharisee was surprised when he noticed that Jesus did not first wash before the meal.
39 Then the Lord said to him, “Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. 40 You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? 41 But now as for what is inside you—be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.
42 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.
43 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and respectful greetings in the marketplaces.
44 “Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which people walk over without knowing it.”
45 One of the experts in the law answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also.”
46 Jesus replied, “And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.
47 “Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your ancestors who killed them. 48 So you testify that you approve of what your ancestors did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs. 49 Because of this, God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’ 50 Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world, 51 from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all.
52 “Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.”
53 When Jesus went outside, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to oppose him fiercely and to besiege him with questions, 54 waiting to catch him in something he might say.

Let the Past Burn Behind You & Look Forward to Something New..... (8.22.18)

My Child,
Why do you continue to travail, over and over in your mind, about the things that are lost?  You cannot change the past; so, why do you allow it to hinder you so much?  Why do you allow it to stop you from seeing what I Am doing in your life?  If you open your eyes, you will see that only the things which hindered you from growing stronger, were removed.

It is only when you look forward that you
can see the road ahead of you.

When you look forward you will see that I Am changing and bringing new things into your life.  Do not allow the past to hinder you anymore, look forward to the future, and believe Me for new things.

Do you think My Hand is too short that it cannot
heal you, deliver you, or do the impossible
     in your life?
Do you think that I have run out of promises
      and blessings?

Precious One, My Storehouse is full of great and mighty things.  However, how will you know this, or experience all that I have for you, if you are focused on things of old?

When you let go of your disappointments, those who may have hurt you, and the things you wanted to happen - you set yourself free to move onto greater things.

You set yourself free to heal, to love again,
     and come closer to Me.

Oh, come close to Me, for I have new things for you.
I have great plans and visions for you, but you must
move beyond the past to possess them.
Now, look forward and let the past burn behind you.

Let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn away all the fears,
the struggles, the hurt, and disappointments.

Then My Child, loose yourself
once and for all
from your past, bind yourself to the work
of the Holy Spirit and watch new doors and
     opportunities come into your life.

READ AND MEDITATE ON HIS WORD
Isaiah 43:18-19 - Remember ye, not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 59:1 - Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Matthew 18:18 - Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven

Philippians 3:13-14 - Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of GOD in Christ Jesus.

Revelations 21:5 - And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

Keep Your Mind on God, Sound the Battle Cry, Arise in Faith & Move Forward in Authority (8.21.18)

My Child,
Keep your mind on Me, not on your situations; and stop worrying about what you see.  If you put on the helmet of Salvation, your mind will be trained to think of things above, and not beneath.  Your mind will be trained to think of Me and seek My Face.

Once your mind is on Me, you will see that I have been moving you forward, away from the failures of your past.  You will realize I’ve been moving you towards new lands and the new blessings that I have for you.

Oh, look to Me now and trust Me
to get you through this situation.

Seek Me, and march forward with boldness.
Seek Me and walk in My Authority.

Sound the battle cry and march throughout
     the land.

The giants and mountains in your life will be defeated as you arise in faith.  Your enemies will flee from you as you shout forth the victory in their face. With your mind on Me, you shall come through every storm and every battle, for you will know that I AM with you.

Proclaim it right now by faith, that you are
     more than a conqueror.
Yes, proclaim by faith that you have the victory!

This is the season to fight and expel the darkness,
so rise up in My Name.

I AM able to deliver.
I will not fail!

Stand on My Word until you have complete victory.

Now, rise up and break off the shackles that
     bind you and be free.
Rise up in power!
Rise up in authority!

The victory is yours, now march forward
in authority to receive your blessing!

READ AND MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD

Mark 11:23 - For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Romans 8:37 - Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

2 Corinthians 2:14 - Now thanks be unto GOD, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
