Ephesians 6:10-18  (NLT)
The Whole Armor of God 

¹⁰ A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹ Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. ¹² For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

¹³ Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. ¹⁴ Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. ¹⁵ For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. ¹⁶ In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. ¹⁷ Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

¹⁸ Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

The Helmet of Salvation

• Acts 4:12 (ESV)  ~~  ¹² And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
  
• 1 Thessalonians 5:6-8  ~~  ⁶ So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. ⁷ Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. ⁸ But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.
• Isaiah 59:17  ~~    He put on righteousness as his body armor; and placed the helmet of salvation on his head.  He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance; and wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion.

The Breastplate of Righteousness

• 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NASB)  ~~ ²¹ He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 
• Job 29:14  ~~  Everything I did was honest. Righteousness covered me like a robe, and I wore justice like a turban.
• Psalm 85:13  ~~  Righteousness goes as a herald before him, preparing the way for his steps.

The Shield of Faith

• Hebrews 1:11 (ESV)  ~~ ¹¹ Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
• Ephesians 6:16  ~~  In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;
  

Loins Girded in Truth (Belt of Truth)

• Proverb 23:23 (NIV)  ~~ ²³ Buy the truth and do not sell it— wisdom, instruction and insight as well. 
• Isaiah 11:5  ~~  He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment.
  

The Sword of the Spirit

• Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)  ~~   For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Feet Shod with the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace

• Romans 10:15 (KJV)  ~~   (And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written,) How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!  
• Isaiah 52:7  ~~  How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” 
• Nahum 1:15  ~~  Look, there on the mountains, the feet of one who brings good news, who proclaims peace! Celebrate your festivals, Judah, and fulfill your vows. No more will the wicked invade you; they will be completely destroyed.
• Luke 1:79  ~~  to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.
