Good Morning Faith Believers!
Many times in the New Testament, the books of the Gospels and Revelations state a powerful, timely, but too often overlooked, instructional mandate; not only to us believers, but to all of those that would hear God's Word - "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
Let us reflect on
"who has ears." For not only mankind, but all the creatures of the earth have ears - every living creature (there are very few that do not) has ears. And it is through the ears of every living creature, that we have the capacity to hear. But do we, especially human beings, truly - do we really - hear?
These 9 simple words are saying a multitude of things, including the option. The
option to hear. The use of the words
let (an allowance; an invitation; an opening) and
ought (something that should, but might not, be happening; the potential, the opportunity is present) allow for the option. Everyone knows Who God Is. If you say "God" to anyone one, anywhere on earth - they know, they are aware of Whom you are speaking of. Everyone knows WHO God Is, however to walk in God's Way is an option. And in these wonderful scripture passages, these 9 simple words extend an invitation, an instruction, and an insight; into how it should be, what should be happening, what we are, and for each of us who have
ears - and can hear - what we ought to do. We are to
hear.....Let's nosh on that. The fact that these scriptures tell us what we - as believers - should be doing. We are to be hearing, hearing the Word of God, hearing Jesus' instruction, and as John relays in the book of Revelation - hearing the instruction to the churches from the Angels. And there are many ways we can hear the Word, but one of the easiest, quickest ways, is to simply pick up a Bible and read the Word, out loud, to yourself. The opportunity to hear the Word is always present. How blessed are we that Matthew, Mark, Luke and Revelations focus on being hearers of God's Word. And James takes us a step further in James 1:22-25 whereas James instructs us to be doers of the Word, and not hearers only. BOOM! There is a two-step authentication. A passive action, and then an active action.
Hear AND Do.
May you, your family and those you love, pray for, hold dear and encounter daily - be safe in this extraordinary, unprecedented times. May the Scripture below - and every line of God's entire Word - bless you and may you share it to bless others. And
May the Lord bless you and keep you!
May the Lord let His Face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!
And May the Lord look kindly upon you and give you peace!

Matthew 11:11-19
11 “Assuredly,
I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater
than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is
greater than he. 12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. 13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come. 15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear! 16 “But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their companions, 17 and saying: ‘We played the flute for you, And you did not dance; We mourned to you, And you did not lament.’ 18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children.”
Matthew 13:1-9
Parable of the Sower 13 On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. 2 And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. 3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Some
fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they
immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. 8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Matthew 13:36-43
Parable of the Tares Explained 36 Then
Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples
came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the
field.” 37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Mark 4:1-9
Parable of the Sower 4 And again He began to teach by the sea. And a great multitude was gathered to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat in it on the sea; and the whole multitude was on the land facing the sea. 2 Then He taught them many things by parables, and said to them in His teaching: 3 “Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it. 5 Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had no root it withered away. 7 And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. 8 But other seed
fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and
produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” 9 And He said to them, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Luke 8:4-8
Parable of the Sower 4 And when a great multitude had gathered, and they had come to Him from every city, He spoke by a parable: 5 “A
sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the
wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6 Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. 8 But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Luke 14:34-35
Tasteless Salt is Worthless 34 “Salt is good; but if the salt has lost its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? 35 It is neither fit for the land nor for the dunghill, but men throw it out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
