"Taking the Decision to Follow the Light" by Paulo Coelho (5.31.18)

This is an excerpt from Paulo Coelho's "Warrior of the Light," as posted on his blog.
-----
The Warrior of the light had begun to believe that it is better to follow the light. He had already betrayed, told lies, strayed off his path, paid court to the darkness. And everything continued going well – as if nothing had happened. Now he wants to change his attitudes.

When taking this decision, he hears four comments: “You always acted wrongly. You are too old to change. You are not good. You don’t deserve it”.

He looks towards heaven, and a voice says: “well, my dear, everyone has made mistakes. You are forgiven, but I can’t force this pardon. Decide for yourself”.

The true warrior of the light accepts the pardon and then takes some precautions.

Why Do You Fear? (5.30.18)

For Jesus said, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you.

My Child,
Do not give into fear, nor be dismayed, for the Lord thy GOD is with you.  Set your faces to seek Me like as before, and I Will deliver you out of all your troubles.  It is My Desire for you to overcome all that has been thrown against you.  For it is not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit that you will prevail.

I say to you, trust not in your own power, lean not unto your own understanding. Instead, come before Me, acknowledge who I Am and be filled with My Wisdom. Recognize this battle is not yours, but it is Mine, the Lord's.  And I will indeed fight it. Those who are trying to fight in their own strength, I would ask you to cease from your worry and release all to Me.

Have I not said that in your weakness you will be made strong?

Stand therefore in the full armor of GOD and fight the good fight of faith.

That is the only battle I want you to fight.  Lift up your eyes unto Me, the Author and the finisher of your faith, the One who will be with you always.

Yes, come before Me just as you are.  Take no thought about what the enemy is trying to do, because I will fight for you.

So, why do you fear?

Read and Meditate on God's Word:
Isaiah 41:10 - Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy GOD: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Zechariah 4:6b - Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Psalm 50:15 - And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

2 Timothy 1:7 - For GOD hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The Leading of the Holy Spirit & the Power of God's Word (5.29.18)

Faith Believers,
Christ was tempted in all ways like us, yet without sin.
He was tempted (1) physically, (2) emotionally, and (3) spiritually.

We will be tested at all three levels as well. There was one consistent defense that our Lord used. Filled with the Holy Spirit’s power, confronted by the false spirit’s power, Jesus quoted the Spirit-inspired Scripture, relying on God's Word. (From the Bible we know that Jesus’ mind was saturated with biblical truth.) It is striking to notice that Jesus didn’t merely rely on The Word in His thinking alone. He quite literally “spoke it aloud,” addressing the area of temptation and speaking directly to the tempter about it, using Scripture as His guide to countering satanic attacks.

Notice that Jesus was filled with the Spirit and secondly He used God's Word. This was accomplished through the context of praying against the temptation of an evil spirit. Both of these together — the leading of the Spirit and the power of God's Word — come together to direct us in our battle with temptation and the evil one, especially in the context of prayer. They are never to be separated.

Paul understood this when writing of dealing with satanic attacks: and take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of GOD, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit - Ephesians 6:17-18.

In order to succeed against the powers of darkness we will need an attitude of reverence toward the Word of GOD. We must make a plan to learn it, read it, memorize it, and when confronted by any trial from the tempter to separate us from our relationship with GOD; to speak The Word aloud in our praying to defeat the influence of evil.

As we immerse ourselves in the Word, the Spirit of GOD will direct us to speak against the temptations we encounter.

~ Proclaim ~
Living Word of GOD,
You alone are holy and I bow before You!

Spirit of GOD,
Direct my heart into the depths of The Word whenever I face trials and temptations.

Give me a deep desire to read, learn, memorize and obey Your powerful Word, which is the sword of the Spirit!

May I stand upon the truth of the Word, recognizing its power to help me overcome anything the enemy would throw against me.

Living Word of GOD,
You alone are holy and I bow before You!

A Thankfully Amazing Prayer (5.28.18)

Awesome Redeemer,
What an amazing gift You have given to me!

You are a grace-filled Father and my heart is grateful!

Draw me so deeply into the awareness of Your Presence that sinful thoughts have no opportunity to take root.  I ask this in the powerful Name of Your Son Jesus, who paid the price for my sins; so that I might be free to live a victorious life.

Lord, I know the enemy has come to do evil and place evil thoughts into our minds. Father, place a guard around my mind and thought process. When evil thoughts arise, help me to rebuke it in the name of Jesus.

Father, send the Holy Spirit to stand guard over my mind as You continue to use me for Your Kingdom.

I pray this prayer in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Amen

You have been Waiting on God, but The Lord says He has been Waiting for You (5.27.18)

My Child,
I Am bringing a breakthrough into your life.
I, the Lord will give you increase for you and
     your children.

You are desirous of a breakthrough of blessings from Me. You have been puzzled why it has not come to the degree you desire. My child, that which you desire is far less than what I have planned for you.

You have been waiting on Me, but I tell you
     I have been waiting
for you.

Yes, I’ve been waiting on you to break your mold.
Break free from those things in your life that have
kept you bound to the old.
I cannot break them for you.
I Will give you wisdom; however, you must choose
to break free and follow Me.

I Have called you for My Purpose.

My Word will set you free, but you must choose to follow Me.

Do not wallow in misery.
Do not wallow in self-pity.
Do not wallow in fear and doubt.
Step out in faith,
believe in Me so I can prepare you
     for your breakthrough.

I will be manifesting Myself in a new way.
I will not continue to allow the old things
     to stay in your life.

I have heard your prayers, beloved.
I have heard your songs of love to Me.

Do not think that I do not see.
Do not think that I do not hear the things you say
     and sing unto Me.

I Am the great I Am, and I see and hear all.

Now, I want you to listen to Me, listen as never before.  Listen and be quick to obey.  Blessings will overtake you when you choose to walk in complete obedience to My Word.

READ AND MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD:
Deuteronomy 28:2 - And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy GOD.

Joshua 24:15 - And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Deuteronomy 7:12-13 (NASB) - Then it shall come about
because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, that the LORD your GOD will keep with you His covenant and His loving kindness which He swore to your forefathers. "He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock, in the land which He swore to your forefathers to give you."

Psalm 115:14 - May the LORD give you increase, you and your children!

John 8:36 - If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

2 Timothy 1:7 - For GOD hath not given us the spirit of
fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Prayer for Divine Guidance through the Day (5.26.18)

Lord, God Almighty,
You have brought us safely to the beginning of this day.  Defend us today by Your mighty power, that we may not fall into any sin, but that all our words may so proceed and all our thoughts and actions be so directed, as to be always just in Your sight.

Direct, we beg you, O Lord, our actions by Your holy inspirations, and carry them on by Your gracious assistance, that every prayer and work of ours may begin always with You, and through You be happily ended.

Amen.

Prepare to Receive (5.25.18)

Beloved,
I know it may not feel like it, and at this moment, it may even be hard to believe; however, blessings in abundance are coming your way.

You’ve had a hard time believing anything good would ever come your way. You have endured so much. You have gone through hard times that felt like they would never end.

I Know about everything you went through.
I Know it and so do many others.

Things in your life are about to change,
     so prepare to receive it.

You've been under a dark cloud for so long, that when the sun begins to shine upon your situation, it’s going to be hard to believe.

You will be in awe, and you won't know what to say.

So, let
Me tell you that the only thing you will need to say is, “Thank you, Jesus.”

Don't try to say or do anything else just bask in My Presence, and give Me the praise and glory for what is happening in your life. Say it now, you don’t have to wait; “Thank you
Jesus, Thank you Jesus."

You’ve been faithful to Me and you never gave up,
soon you shall see My goodness.

Now, prepare to receive.

Lamentations 3:25 - The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Hebrews 6:10 - For GOD is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Trust God & Look Ahead, for Many Good Things Await You (5.24.18)

My Child,
I tell you, do not look back for I Will go before you
     to make crooked things straight!

My goodness and mercy have your back, so encourage yourself with My Word and move forward. Don't wait for someone to encourage you, for everyone is fighting their own battles.  Strengthen yourself with My Word and feed upon it, for My Word is life and health to those who find them.

When I asked Abraham to step out into the unknown, he did as I requested, he didn’t inquire of anyone.  He stepped out in faith according to the Word which I had spoken to him.  He never thought about the home he was leaving or what he was giving up. He kept his eyes on what I promised him.  For I promised that I would give him a new land and new blessings. He knew there was nothing left behind for him to hold onto; therefore, he moved forward on My Word.

Haven’t I promised you new things?
I assure you the new will be greater than the old.
So, why My child, do you look behind so often?

Why do you look at the things you had or the possibilities of what you could have had, instead of looking at the new blessings that I have for you?  Don’t you trust Me?

The new blessings I have for you will far exceed the old.

The new promises that I have for you are greater than anything you had in the past, greater than anything you can ever imagine. Oh, if you could just get that into your spirit, you would sing praises unto My Name.

Trust Me and look ahead, for many good things await you.

READ AND MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD

Know that God is Watching Over You & Caring For You (5.23.18)

My Child,
I know you can't always feel My Nearness,
but that doesn't mean that I Am not near.

I have neither left you nor abandoned you, nor will I ever do so. Regardless of how far away you may feel that I Am from you - I Am close to you, right at your side.  I Have surrounded you with My Presence and I Have assigned angels on your behalf.

You are watched over, and you are cared for.
My love for you never fails, no matter how "unspiritual"
you may feel at the moment.

Yes, dear one, I know that you feel isolated from Me during those desert times, but you are not alone. You are My own dear child, and I love you with the same passion and the same compassion that a mother feels for her newborn child.

You are precious to Me, and you are Mine. Dear one, Regardless of how alone or isolated you may feel, I do not abandon My Own, and you are Mine. I never stopped watching over you and I never stopped loving you.

You are always on My mind and in My heart.
I will take care of you at all times.
I Am constantly at work, behind the scenes on
your behalf, even when you cannot perceive
     My Presence.

My Hand is upon you for good, and I will never stop caring for you. I have good things for you and I will surely bring them to pass in your life. So, do not fret.  What you’re going through will pass, it’s only temporary.

I promise you will get through this desert experience
and come out in green pastures.

John 14:18 - I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Hebrews 13:5 - Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

#ScriptureReflection - 1 Corinthians 13 (5.22.18)

13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

#ScriptureReflection - Isaiah 42:10-17 (5.21.18)

Song of Praise to the Lord

10 Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise from the ends of the earth,
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,
you islands, and all who live in them.
11 Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices;
let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice.
Let the people of Sela sing for joy;
let them shout from the mountaintops.
12 Let them give glory to the Lord
and proclaim his praise in the islands.
13 The Lord will march out like a champion,
    like a warrior he will stir up his zeal;
with a shout he will raise the battle cry
and will triumph over his enemies.
14 “For a long time I have kept silent,
I have been quiet and held myself back.
But now, like a woman in childbirth,
I cry out, I gasp and pant.
15 I will lay waste the mountains and hills
    and dry up all their vegetation;
I will turn rivers into islands
    and dry up the pools.
16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,
    along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them
and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do;
    I will not forsake them.
17 But those who trust in idols,
who say to images, ‘You are our gods,’
will be turned back in utter shame.

#ScriptureReflection - Pentecost - Acts 2:1 - 47 (5.20.18)

The Holy Spirit Comes at Pentecost

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them.
Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,[b] 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome 11 (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” 12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”
13 Some, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.”

Peter Addresses the Crowd

14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. 15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! 16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
    and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
    and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’[c]
22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,[d] put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. 25 David said about him:
“‘I saw the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
    I will not be shaken.
26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest in hope,
27 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
you will not let your holy one see decay.
28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence.’[e]
29 “Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. 30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. 31 Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did his body see decay. 32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. 33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,
“‘The Lord said to my Lord:
    “Sit at my right hand
35 until I make your enemies
    a footstool for your feet.”’[f]
36 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”
37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”
40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

The Fellowship of the Believers

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

#ScriptureReflection - Song of Songs 2:4-13 (5.19.18)

Let him lead me to the banquet hall,
and let his banner over me be love.
Strengthen me with raisins,
    refresh me with apples,
for I am faint with love.
His left arm is under my head,
and his right arm embraces me.
Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you
by the gazelles and by the does of the field:
Do not arouse or awaken love
    until it so desires.
Listen! My beloved!
    Look! Here he comes,
leaping across the mountains,
    bounding over the hills.
My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag.
Look! There he stands behind our wall,
gazing through the windows,
    peering through the lattice.
10 My beloved spoke and said to me,
    “Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.
11 See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
12 Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
    is heard in our land.
13 The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.”

Deliver Us from evil & Thy Kingdom Come..... (5.18.18)

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. - Matthew 6:13

Faith Believers,
To pray this prayer is to enter into the field of battle, to partner with GOD in reclaiming our fallen world, taking it away from the false ruler of darkness and returning it to GOD the rightful King. The enemy’s weapons are hatred, strife, evil, despair and anything that produces distraction from GOD’s purposes.

The weapons of the believer should be to focus on GOD’s Kingdom, and be empowered by GOD’s Spirit, as we pray. Such things as loving, serving, praying, helping, healing, obeying GOD’s inner promptings, and reclaiming goodness in the midst of despair should be our focus. According to the apostle Paul, the main weapon in the battle is “truth,” both the truth of the gospel and Jesus Christ, who Himself is the Truth (see Ephesians 6:14 and John 14:6).
But now Christ is risen from the dead. The end will come when He delivers the kingdom to GOD the Father, when He puts an end to all rule, all authority and all power. For He must reign until He has put all his enemies under his feet. - 1 Corinthians 15:20-25.
When we pray “Deliver us from evil,” we invoke the power of GOD to deliver us from bondage. We upheld His Name as hallowed and immediately prayed for the power of GOD’s Kingdom to overtake and vanquish the evil found on earth.

It is clear that GOD is working through our prayers to cast out all evil, all wicked influence, and even the evil one himself, in order to replace all of these with His Own benevolent rule of justice, grace, mercy, and peace.

By praying “your kingdom come,” we declared war on the forces of darkness and align ourselves with GOD.
- Marilyn

~ Prayer ~
Lord Almighty,
Ruler of Heaven and Earth,
This world is dark and filled with evil,
but You have overcome the world!

My hope is in You, Lord and I am grateful that You
have delivered me from the bondage of the enemy!

Thank You that I have the victory to overcome his schemes
against me and against Your Kingdom.

In the Name of Jesus.
Amen

Say Goodbye to the Past. It's Time to Move On.... (5.17.18)

My Child,
You do not have time to ponder over things of the past.
Refuse to become obsessed over things that happened
      long ago.

Stop re-living decisions, broken relationships and mistakes you have made. I say unto you today, "It is time to move on to the new things I have given, and will be giving, to you. To linger in the past is to give way to double-mindedness."

Let go of the mistakes you've made.  I have great things in store for you, but you must let go of that which has been holding you back, in order to receive it.

You cannot move forward with Me,
until you let go of your past
.

Something new begins today.
So get a head start, release the past and fully
     embrace the new.

You have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

READ AND MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD:
Isaiah 43:18-19 - Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past. Behold, I will do something new, now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the Lord," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Philippians 3:13-14 - Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of GOD in Christ Jesus.

#ScriptureReflection - 1 John 5 (5.16.18)

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

God Will Do What He Promised (5.15.18)

Faith Believers,
There are times when the Lord promises us something, and then
cares and situations of this world will sometimes cause our vision to fade and cloud our thinking.  Then the enemy will try to trigger a battle in our mind, and we begin to think that our hopes and dreams will never come to pass.   he will even cause us to wonder if it was the Lord's voice we heard.

I bring good news to you, "faithful is He who has called you." When the Lord makes a promise to us, He will deliver on His Word.  He is ever so faithful to watch over His Word, so it cannot return to Him void.

Therefore, rebuke doubt and unbelief, and stand on what GOD has said. For GOD is not a liar. Has He promised something that He can’t fulfill?  Has He spoken something that He does not intend to do? I don’t think so!! The Lord never changes, and His Word remains the same from generation to generation.

I know things may not be the way we want them to be right now, but GOD is faithful.  He will bring to pass all that He has promised.  You must do your part and get back into the Word of the Lord. Become refocused on what He has spoken and stand on our our confession of faith. We must take authority in the name of Jesus and we must not back down to naysayers or opposing forces. GOD gave us authority and it is up to us to use it. We must do all we can do; then, stand in faith, as we watch the Lord do what He promised to do and that is to honor His Word.

While we are waiting on the Lord, we must not allow ourselves to become weary or become slothful. We must reinforce our faith and be a follower like those who, through faith and patience, inherited the promises of GOD.

Now, stand on His Word and believe that GOD will
reward us for diligently seeking Him.

Trust and have faith in GOD, for the Lord will bring to pass all He has promised, and it will be better than we could have ever imagined.

READ AND MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD:

Isaiah 55:10-11 - For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Habakkuk 2:3 - For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

2 Corinthians 1:20 - For all the promises of GOD in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of GOD by us.

1 Thessolonians 5:24 - Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Hebrews 6:12 - That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

When God is Silent..... (5.14.18)

My Child,
I know My silence doesn’t please you, but there is always a reason and a lesson to learn from My Stillness.  When I Am silent, that is when I want your attention the most.  That is when I want you to set yourself apart from the cares of the day, and spend time with Me in My Word, and just talk to Me.

That’s when I want you to
quiet your mind
     and listen.

When you are quiet, I can share with you what you need to know; and prepare you for your next step.  Do not expect Me to always yell or bring My Word in a mighty storm to get your attention.  There are times when I Will be quiet, I Will be still, and I Will wait for you to notice Me.

I Will wait for you to seek My Face, and listen
     for My Still Small Voice.

I know you don’t realize this, but resting and listening to My Voice is a part of your preparation.  This must be done so you will learn to move as I move.  Simply quiet your spirit, listen, and be prepared for the door that I’m opening in your life.

And please, while you are waiting before Me, don’t call our quiet time together wasted time.  Cherish it, because I don’t waste one second.  Waiting gives Me a chance to minister to you and pour out a refreshing wind over your life.

When you are still before Me, I am turning your
reversals into rehearsals for My Glory.

I know waiting is hard for you, and oftentimes it doesn’t feel pleasant.  However, as you wait, use this time to strengthen your prayer life and meditate on My Word.  Praying and reading My Word will humble you, and put your heart at perfect peace. Your mind will be filled with thoughts of Me, and destroy the anxiousness you feel.

Do not worry about My Silence.
Do not worry about anything.
Place it all in My Hands.

Be still, and know WHO I AM.

1 Kings 19:12 - And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

Psalm 46:10 - Be still, and know that I am GOD I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Isaiah 26:3 - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

1 Peter 5:6-7 - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of GOD, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Matthew 6:31-33 - Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of GOD, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
