Speak "Peace! Be Still!" to Your Storms. Speak it Now. (9.30.18)

My Child,
Speak now to your storms and say, "Peace! Be still!"

The winds of adversity have blown, and this tornado effect has tried to keep you in a tail spin. But now, My Child, arise and speak to the wind.

Speak to the storms that seem to prevail.
Then, quiet the storms of your own heart
     and be at peace.

Stop striving and begin to live by the strength of My Grace. Tell me, My Child, what can come against you and prevail that I have no control over? Nothing! Absolutely nothing!

Why are you worrying?

Stand on My Word and rebuke the enemy! All of this is coming from him to destroy your soul and peace of mind. The only thing he will respect is My Word. When you rebuke the enemy in the name of My Son, Jesus; he will flee.  he cannot stand in the presence of GOD.

Peace speak over all that is concerning you
right now in the matchless name of Jesus!

Isaiah 26:3 - You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You,
because he trusts in You.

Mark 4:39 (NKJV) - Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased.

~ Prayer ~
I'm praying that the peace of GOD will flood your soul;
and send any fears holding you back, running.

So that the vision the Lord has given you,
     will come to pass.

Amen

#ScriptureReflection - Daniel 7 (9.29.18)

Daniel’s Dream of Four Beasts

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying in bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream.
Daniel said: “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea. Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.

“The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it.

“And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, ‘Get up and eat your fill of flesh!’

“After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.

“After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.

“While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

“As I looked,

“thrones were set in place,
and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
His clothing was as white as snow;
the hair of his head was white like wool.
His throne was flaming with fire,
and its wheels were all ablaze.
10 A river of fire was flowing,
    coming out from before him.
Thousands upon thousands attended him;
ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him.
The court was seated,
    and the books were opened.

11
“Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.
12 (The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.)

13
“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.
14 He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

The Interpretation of the Dream

15 “I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me. 16 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the meaning of all this.

“So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things: 17 ‘The four great beasts are four kings that will rise from the earth. 18 But the holy people of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever—yes, for ever and ever.’

19
“Then I wanted to know the meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left.
20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging war against the holy people and defeating them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

23
“He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.
24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time.

26
“‘But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever.
27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’

28
“This is the end of the matter. I, Daniel, was deeply troubled by my thoughts, and my face turned pale, but I kept the matter to myself.”

Taking Your Prayers for Others to the Next Level - Learning to be the Hands & Feet of Jesus to Hurting or Lost People (9.28.18)

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, ‘Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead - James 2:15-17

Faith Believers,
It happens to all of us! We see a homeless person, come upon the scene of an accident…or hear of a family in financial need. Immediately we may think to pray in each of these situations, “Lord, please help that person. Send someone to meet that need!”

What if GOD wants to use you and your family
to be the answer to your prayer?
Are you prepared to back up your prayers
with action if the Lord directs?

I believe that our Father wants us to learn how to be the hands and feet of His Son to hurting or lost people.

Since Jesus lives in us; we should consider, as we pray, what He would do to meet this need or help this person if He were physically present – because He is! He is physically present in the midst of every situation because He is incarnate – in us!

Could this thought and realization change
the way you respond to the prayers
     that you pray?

Instead of thinking that you have done the right thing by praying and then moving along to the next activity of your day… do you need to take your prayer to the next level by listening to what the voice of the Spirit speaks to your heart?

How many opportunities have we missed because we have not acted in response to the impulse of the Spirit, urging us to make Jesus known in the midst of lives or situations?

I believe that many prayers we pray can be answered quickly and with amazing results if we become better listeners to the voice of the Holy Spirit. If we could learn to change our mindset as we pray, I believe we would be used by GOD in mighty ways to be His Agents of Transformation.

Can you imagine how fulfilling and exciting your lives would be if your family would continually wait upon the Lord to see how He may want to use each of you to be the answer to prayers that you pray?
  -  Marilyn

~ Prayer ~
Holy Spirit,
My spiritual ears are often plugged up as You seek to guide my heart towards Your purposes!

How often do I miss Your promptings to be the answer to the prayers I pray!?!?

Please teach me to be like Jesus to the people I pray for, so that I might partner with the Father in meeting the needs of those who are seeking a touch from His Hand.

Amen

Stand Up, Have Faith & Trust in God (9.27.18)

My Child,
Stand up My Child and enter this race running with strength for I shall empower you in the days that are ahead so that you are not surprised or defeated by the enemy.

the enemy can not gain control over you unless you allow him to.  satan is absolutely powerless against My Children!!!!  he has been defeated and anything he brings against you, I the Lord your GOD, will destroy. Remember, no weapon formed against you shall prosper and those that rise against you, I the Lord your GOD, shall destroy.

Have faith in Me, your GOD, and know that I Am GOD all by Myself and there is no other. Regardless of what you are seeing with your eyes remember, I Am watching over you. I have sent My Angels to stand guard over you as you go about your day. I ask that you spend some time with Me today and just thank Me for all that I Have done for you and all that I Am going to do.

Rebuke the enemy when he tries to destroy your mind with negative thoughts. Trust Me and believe that I have all power over everything that is happening in your life.

I Am only going to let so much happen to you,
before I pull you out of the fire.

These trials are needed for Me to refine and bless your life.

Remember this:
There is nothing that you will face today
that the Lord can't bring you through.

Thank GOD for what you have,
Trust GOD for what you need.

Guilt vs. Grace (9.26.18)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of GOD— not by works, so that no one can boast - Ephesians 2:8-9

Faith Believers,
The great hindrance to 'man’s fellowship with GOD' is guilt.

Guilt is mean and knows no end to its torture and destruction. Many suffer in hospitals from the agony of guilt. Many psychological and emotional disorders grow in a heart that has been planted with the seeds of guilt. Guilt can destroy a marriage, prompt suicide, or distort the human personality.

If we are to experience victory, guilt must be removed from our lives. There are two main types of guilt: false guilt and true guilt. Quite often the man or woman of prayer struggles with false guilt. False guilt is general in nature and has satan as its source. satan, the accuser of the brethren, accuses us in general terms. he whispers in our ears, “You are no good. How can you pray? You are not worthy.”

The one who listens to such accusations will never become mighty in prayer.

How can one repent of being “no good”?
Only Jesus is worthy.

Our access to GOD is never based on the worthiness of man; our access is based on the blood of Jesus. It is only by grace that we can approach GOD. Therefore, we must reject all false guilt when we pray.

~ Prayer ~
Father GOD,
So many people I know struggle with their self-worth, or are uncertain of their salvation!

Please show me how to pray for them, and then how to help them to gain victory over satan’s lies!

We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, but so many fall victim to bondage, or feelings of inadequacy! Your Grace allows us to approach Your Throne with confidence…indeed, we should live in the throne room, praying without ceasing!

Thank You, Father, that the risen Christ lives in us, and prays through us, even choosing to use us to fulfill Your Plans and Purposes! What better victory can there be than this?!

Thank You Father GOD!

Amen!!

Jesus, the Paramount Pray-er & Ultimate Intercessor (9.24.18)

Faith Believers,
For Jesus prayer was a lifestyle.

It seems that He prayed at every major juncture and before every key decision in His life. He prayed in the morning (Mark 1:35). He prayed at night (Matthew 14:27), and sometimes all night (Luke 6:12). He prayed when He was alone (John 6:15), He prayed when He was with others (Matthew 11:15–26), and He prayed at public gatherings (Matthew 14:19).

Scripture records eight actual prayers of Jesus, fourteen teachings of Jesus on prayer, eighteen references to Him praying, as well as three references to His intercessory prayer ministry after He ascended.

Every one of His prayers was faith-filled, heartfelt, and fervent. The writer of Hebrews compacts the essence of Jesus’ prayer life into one sentence: During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission - Hebrews 5:7.

Jesus was the paramount pray-er.
Jesus Christ was also the ultimate intercessor.

Intercession was a major part of His prayer life. It’s from His intercessory prayer life and teaching that we especially want to learn.

Many passages of scripture record Jesus’ prayers for others. Matthew informs us that Jesus placed his hands on the little children that were brought to him and prayed for them (Matthew 19:13). Before raising Lazarus from the grave Jesus lets us in on the fact that He has been praying on the way there: Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me - John 11:41–42. After the Lord’s Supper Jesus reinstates Peter with the reminder, I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail - Luke 22:32.

In His final prayer with His disciples, Jesus intercedes for their protection, their joy, their sanctification, and their future place with Him in glory (John 17:9–17, 24).

In the same prayer He intercedes that future believers will be one and that they may also be in us [that is, in the Father and the Son] - John 17:20–23). On the cross Jesus asks the Father to forgive those who crucified Him (Luke 23:34)

Finally, forty days later, as He prepares to ascend to heaven, Jesus lifts up His Hands and blesses those gathered (Luke 24:50).

Intercession ran like a thread, maybe more
like a rope, through the fabric of Jesus’ life.

  -  Marilyn

~ Prayer ~
Precious Christ Jesus,
I am awed that You always live to intercede for me!  How blessed I am to have the example of Your prayer life laid out for me in Scripture!

Prayer was and is Your very life!

I long for the kind of intimacy You have with the Father! What a mystery that Your prayer life is living within me, and that You pray Your heart through mine; if I will yield myself to the voice of Your Spirit.

I entrust my prayer life to You now, and thank You for the promise that when I come near to You, You will come near to me!

Light the fire of intercession within me as I continually seek Your face!

Amen

Having the "GET UP & GO" to Carry Out Our 'GOD-Given' Assignments (9.23.18)

Get up and prepare for action, Go out and tell them everything I tell you to say, Do not be afraid of them, or I will make you look foolish in front of them. - Jeremiah 1:17 (NLT)

Faith Believers,
It takes courage to obey the voice of GOD.
I can imagine Jeremiah, shaking in his sandals, the moment GOD called him to be His Mouthpiece to the children of Israel. A young man with his whole life ahead of him and yet GOD asks Jeremiah to, “Get up and go tell everything that I tell you to say.”

Obedience to GOD requires faith.

Our lives can change drastically based on one word or assignment given by GOD. As we continue to read through the book of Jeremiah, we find that Jeremiah is instructed not to marry. Much like Jeremiah, many of us will find ourselves on this journey by ourselves.

Obedience oftentimes requires us to walk alone.

Not everyone is called to go where we are assigned to go. Jeremiah was a trooper as he continued walking out the assignment he had been given. There were times that he wanted to give up, cave in and quit but he could not bring himself to do it. His purpose was so deeply embedded that it seeped out.

How about you?
Are you fully invested in your assignment?
Have you made the decision to walk by faith
and trust the plan of GOD?

Jeremiah’s faith to continue, even through tribulation, should encourage us that GOD is always with us. Remember, walking by faith means we have no clear view of what is ahead. If we are to fulfill our assignment here on earth, we will have to muster up the courage to 'get up and go' at GOD’s command.
  -  Marilyn

~ Prayer ~
Father GOD,
Work in me Your Will, the desire to continue moving forward in obedience and the ability (and courage) to walk out my faith before You; even as Jeremiah and others did in scripture.

When my courage begins to wane, infuse me with your inner strength.

I pray this prayer in the Name of Your Son, Jesus.

Amen
