When things aren’t going the way we hoped they would, the enemy will do all he can to make us ungrateful. We should always have a grateful and thankful heart in everything. For the atmosphere and attitude of thanksgiving is essential for the working of the power of the Holy Spirit.
All the tactics of the enemy were designed with one purpose and one purpose alone, to take away your grateful and thankful heart to GOD; and replace it with a heart of dissatisfaction and complaint. Once the enemy succeeds in this, you are on the road of sin and destruction. Don’t allow the enemy to cause you to focus so much attention on the bad things, that you neglect to give the Lord thanks for the many things He has already given you.
Until you are able to give thanks while in your present circumstances, your circumstances will never change. You must change your attitude first before your circumstances will change. You must have an attitude of gratitude for the small things the Lord has blessed you with, before He blesses you with greater things.
No matter what is going on in your life, never neglect to offer the Lord a sacrifice of praise. It is not just a little exhortation to keep us happy; it is the key which will bring power and grace to all your circumstances. It is the only way to enter into the road of grace and favor, and it is also the only way to keep you on the road that leads to Him.
Matthew 25:21 - His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Hebrews 13:15 - By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to GOD continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
The only thing that Jesus did, in releasing the power for the miracle to feed the five thousand, was in giving thanks to His Father for the five loaves of bread and two small fishes. Therefore, you too must offer the Lord praise and thanksgiving for the blessings He has bestowed on you..
John 6:9-11
- There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but
what are they among so many? And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there
was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five
thousand. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he
distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and
likewise of the fishes as much as they would
If there are times you find it hard to stand in faith, it is because you are holding on by your own strength. Stop depending on yourself, lean and depend upon the strength and grace of our Lord and Savior. The Lord will help you and He will see you through. He will restore your joy and cause you to sing praises to His name.
Psalm 28:7 - The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
So, I say to
you, whatever situation you find yourself in this day,
give thanks to the Lord for what He has provided.
Be thankful for the blessings you have this day.
Be thankful in good circumstances.
Be thankful in bad circumstances.
Be thankful in everything, for this is the will of the Lord.
give thanks to the Lord for what He has provided.
Be thankful for the blessings you have this day.
Be thankful in good circumstances.
Be thankful in bad circumstances.
Be thankful in everything, for this is the will of the Lord.
