We
receive an amazing insight into the Lord’s expectations toward His people in
this passage.
Because of His kindness to us, He quite naturally expects a
response of a loving son/daughter to a loving Father. As the Savior for His people, He has
entered into a loving relationship that should be reciprocated.
Do
you ever consider the feelings of God?
Isn't it easy to think of Him as so big,
so different, so “God,” that we ignore the fact that the Bible shows Him to feel
deeply, especially about relationships? In becoming our Savior, He has entered
into a covenant relationship with us, by which we call Him “Father.” Our
response is to be loyal and loving children who desire to bring pleasure to our
Father.
Father,
How we delight in calling You that!
Through Jesus, You have brought us into Your
family
and blessed us in every way.
Thank You for being our Savior!
Help me to draw near to You this day.
and blessed us in every way.
Thank You for being our Savior!
Help me to draw near to You this day.
Through Your Spirit, help me to know the things that please You.
As I read Your Word, I am in awe
of your feelings and expectations toward those
You have called Your own.
Help me to be sensitive to those expectations,
and please give me the strength of Your Holy Spirit
to live up to them.
As I read Your Word, I am in awe

Help me to be sensitive to those expectations,
and please give me the strength of Your Holy Spirit
to live up to them.
Amen
