God Did Not Call His People to Be Normal. He Calls Us to Be Different. (2.23.17)

Faith Believers,
Sometimes during trials, we have to go to what we know works best - and that is trusting in the Lord.   Hard times come to everyone. The question is how will we handle these trials?

When you are going through a rough time, do you complain?
When you get bad news, do you begin to worry?
That is completely normal.
However, GOD did not call His people to be normal.
He calls us to be different (Colossians 3:1-4).

We have the power of GOD on our side. So when bad things happen, we can praise GOD anyway. You have a choice of giving in to fear; or worship Him, and let His Peace guard your heart (Philippians 4:7).

The writer of Psalm 42 was struggling because his enemies were taunting him. He thought GOD may have forgotten him. Yet, he decided to trust and to praise GOD anyway. Regardless of how long he struggled, he chose to worship GOD. Regardless how dark it seemed, he made his decision to believe GOD. He chose to worship the One for whom his soul longed.

Sometimes, in the middle of our pain, we must ignore the enemy and rest in the Lord; knowing that He can change things whenever He chooses.

GOD is good and He is faithful.
He has a plan and He will see you through
whatever you are going through.
So praise Him anyway.

Lord,
Remind me of Your love and faithfulness
in the middle of this struggle
I am going through.

Even when it is hard, Lord,
I will worship You.
