1 Samuel 30:1-2 - And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
1 Samuel 30:6 - And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
1 Samuel 30:8 - And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
1 Samuel 30:18 - And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.
Faith Believers,
It's easy for you to remember things which were stolen from you, correct? When you think about the things you have lost, initially frustration and anger rise within you; because you know satan is at the core of the loss. Well, now, that we know this, what are we going to do about it?
TAKE IT BACK!!!
I believe that’s GOD's Word to you today.
Because the enemy has stolen things he has no right to have.
Perhaps he's stolen the love that was once in your marriage or the peace in your family.
Maybe he’s come in and attacked your finances.
Maybe he's stolen the joy you once had in serving the Lord,
or the love and the unity of fellowship with other Christians.
satan comes to steal, kill and destroy; but that does not mean that we are to allow him to get away with it.
It’s time we do as David did, and pray to the Lord, as we take back our things!
Now, when you've lost something to the enemy’s ambush, it's easy to be like David's men; such as succumbing to bitterness, while wanting to blame someone else, or just giving up all together. However, like David, we need to "find strength, and encourage ourselves in the Lord," instead of feeling sorry for ourselves and saying, “What’s the use of going on?” We need to wipe away the tears and take back what the enemy has stolen!
We should pray to the Lord, asking Him to strengthen and provide us with His strategy for fighting back; to recover what the enemy has stolen.
We need to declare war on whatever has kept us from recovering what we lost to the enemy.
Will you accept the enemy trying to defeat you?
Are you going to wave the flag and surrender to what the enemy has done?
Do you know what GOD is saying to you, this day?
The Father is saying "stand up from your place of mourning, and fight back!"
It is time to take everything back!
Do you realize that the same GOD that strengthened David to recover all that David lost.... that same God will strengthen you, to recover everything stolen from you, by the enemy? The enemy is no match for Jesus Christ! At the mention of His Name the enemy must flee.
Jesus said in His Word that we should
"pray and bind the strong man."
Therefore, bind the enemy, and rebuke him.
he does not have the right to anything that belongs
to a Child of the Most High King.
