The Gift of Forgiveness (6.9.16)

Faith Believers,
Trusting comes only as we get to know someone, and believe in that person's character.
That's why you should trust GOD and be confident in His character!

We develop trust for human beings only as they have proved themselves trustworthy.  When someone verbally lashes out at you in a negative manner, your natural response will probably be anger, hurt, a lack of trust and unforgiveness.

If forgiveness means you have to make yourself totally vulnerable to that person and leave yourself open for another emotional or verbal assault, you'll probably choose not to forgive. Beloveds, as I stated before, people that lash out at you in anger, do this because they are hurting themselves and they want you to hurt with them.

So many times, words spoken in an angry moment of passion were not meant to cause the amount of damage they do, but we are human and we have feelings. Take this fight to the Lord, lay it at the cross and seek forgiveness of this person.

Only GOD can change the heart of this person and convict them of their actions. The Lord hears every word spoken out of the mouth of each of us, be it good or bad; and His Word says we will be held accountable. So whomever has wronged you this day, forgive them and ask GOD to forgive them as well. We all have said something during our lifetime that we wish could be taken back, but words cannot be taken back.

If you are not willing to forgive, GOD said He will not forgive you of your trespasses.
